Same thing here in Denmark, it is a regular heatwave- and just a few weeks ago it was soooo wet and cold. Inhumane shift!
I wear a minimal amount of clothing, stay in the shade when I'm out, avoid the sun between 12 noon and 15 where it is at its hottest. When I'm indoors I have all the windows open to get air through and circulating. If I feel like I'm overheating I take a quick cool shower.
I drink gallons and gallons of iced water and eat light, cool foods such as salads and fruit.
And I take it slow. Taking the pace down, making sure to rest regularly throughout the day either in the sofa with windows open, or in a beachchair under a shady tree in the garden.

Cool baths help. A damp towel draped on you while you sit near a fan works nicely. Cool drinks and freezer pops are helpfull. :) Long leasurely swims if you have access to a place to do so are great so are things like hanging out in the library with their airconditoner and a good book.
