Heatwave and watermelon

For the past couple of weeks it has been really hot here and today was the worst yet. So I was in the garden, under the shade of an appletree, complaining about the heat.

And then my darling SO put on his shoes, said "I'll be right back" and returned with this delicious, sweet and cool watermelon :drool: My little dog also got a piece :D

My SO didn't warn me when taking the last pic- that's why I look so annoyed/surprised :lol:

Bless ya HorseCrow, very preggers during a heat wave, my heart goes out to you. I would be miserable. You lot in Europe don't use Air Conditioners much so it's got to be so awful!!!! Ice cold water drenched cloths on your pressure points will help a little.

I just chopped off a whole lot of it about a month ago- it reached down to just below my bum before, so I'm walking around feeling that it is soooo short :lol:
