Hi there, i was wondering if anyone knew of good banishing rituals, that could be done on a daily basis as a preparation to daily exercises or work. I experimented with the LBRP, but to be honest, i'm not really confortable with the all the judeo/christian concept of the ritual, and i am looking for something similar but more pagan oriented. Can someone help me out?
Thank you in advance.

Meditate to shield yourself, recite a chant, or even modify the LBRP to suit your needs.

Google Gnostic Banishing Rite. It's not really Gnostic, but rather originates in Chaos Magic. It's very generic, using vowel sounds that force you to properly vibrate to clear the space. You lose the power inherent in the god names and so you're flying solo, but it works.
You can always rewrite it, but in my opinion, this probably requires more knowledge of magic than you have if you are still at the stage where you are asking for alternatives. Nothing wrong with that stage mind you, everyone starts somewhere, but it is best not to go mucking about with things like that until you have some experience.

this banishing sounds like its to banish the worries from yourself, not a attempt
at banishing something outside of self to give the illusion of control.
a very simple method would be to find something to designate that worry, that
something can be anything.hold it in your hand and draw all that worry and
fear into it,then either throw it into a lake,or push it into the ground,or simply
lay it somewhere your never going to go again, turn your back and walk away
from it never to think of it again.
the whole trick to this spell is to actually leave that "thing" behind, and to
never let it come up in your mind again.

Well, those were all great ideas you have given, but i was looking for something more along the lines of the LBRP. As i said in my first post, the only thing wrong the the LBRP are the god names, i dont even have a problem with the archangels, its just that those god names kinda bug me. I've been fighting with YHVH throughout my whole like, using something thats so connected to him just feels wrong. But truth is, the LBRP is one of the most powerfull and usefull ritual i have ever experienced. ITs not just a banishing ritual, its a ground and center, a meditation exercise, and a balancing ritual. All in all, very complete, very effective, and very beautiful.
But thank you again foryour input mtpatty. Your advice will be put to use :boing:

WoW, that was incredible Sage Rainsong, a lot of food for thought and something to work with ritually. I'll give it a good try.
Btw, have you tried this ritual yet? If so, what is your experience with it?

Oh no I just did a search lol. I don't have the concentration or patience to do that ritual properly.

Any of you ever banish people, not emotions or demons, from your life? I'm looking to get a co-worker to "move on to something better". It's cool if they end up better off, just as long as they are out of my department, wreaking havoc.

I must credit Thora (ThoraoftheNord) for this, but I find it to be especially useful.
I've also added some of my own, from my own teachings as well.
Take a piece of parchment, if possible, and write the name of the person you wish to be rid of. This is NOT a bansihing, but a "letting go".
Find a river or creek running WEST, and during the waning moon, throw it into the river, and watch it leave you. Visualize it as him, moving on to better things, for the best of both of you.
This is basic, and you can elaborate as you see fit.
Mars and Saturn both work, as Mars is the cutting planet, and Pluto is the planet of transformation and change.
Find plants, roots, herbs, woods, and resins that are sacred to them, as well as Myrhh, for it's association with endings, and the afterlife.
If you would like more, PM me, and perhaps we can work something out. ;)
