Your friend needs to learn how to ground himself and how to lightly project his energies into stones. Sounds like he is throwing too much of himself into it. So lessons on grounding are needed, He can also hold a piece of agate when grounding. It does seem to be helpful. I do that from time to time if too much current is going through me and I have to reinforce my grounding. That is the advice I can give you. More well come and your friend will be fine.

i guess my first question is ... is he trying to do that? does he enjoy it or is just happening and he has no idea why?

if he is trying to do it and is showing off ... take him out to the desert, find him a marble or granite mountain and ask him to carve you a statue ... that would impress you. making your crystals explode on purpose ... you could do that too (although a small sledgehammer may be needed) ... is not nice and perhaps czech's advice is the road.

if this is something new and unexpected ... definitely start educating him on the obvious resonance he has with crystals and the potential power he has to use them for a very productive future ... grounding, as dragonsinger, pointed out is the first step. intention and clarity are the next two steps for development.

good luck ... and hide your crystals or wear protective eye wear until he has it under control!

Thanks guys, sorry it took so long toget back. I'm having issues.
Anyway with myfriend. if he holds them they crack, shatter and break. he solves this by not touching them. lol thanks for your ideas. He doesn'tdo itto show off, he just can'tseem tostop it.

i understand ... pretty nuts everywhere ... especially with those trying to be conscious!!!

definitely, then ... someone who has tremendous power to use with the crystal and should be encouraged to cultivate his abilities ... if you can get a big piece of black obsidian, see what he can do with that ... that is the first stone/crystal i can think of for him to learn with ... obsidian can absorb so much energy (being black and all) and obsidian traditionally was used for crystal balls ... if you can find one for him, that would probably start him out on the right direction and be able to use his tremendous power with all of the crystal kingdom. keep us updated when you can, i am interested to know how this all works out!

... besides, at 27 you are in the middle of your saturn return, most likely ... can be a totally topsy-turvy period in life!!!!
hang in there ....

I know in one rock store they discourage the wearing of stone rings as there is so much crystal energy there that it will crack the stones. Try what the others said about a grounding stone. although i would recomend hematite as that is a heavy stone to use.

He's 18! His whole body is in flux then. He is recieving and discharging all kinds of energies. When you are so young you have a period of adjustment in things like energies and transmitting them. So also yes you can attribute what is happening to his age. Definitly. He will mellow out and learn more control as he gets older.
Indeed a big agate or a piece of hemetite would help him ground himself.

Oh to be young and just entering into the powers.....*soft smile*

there's many native american rituals that can help the 18/19 year old transition ... most involve 3 day rituals ... if he's up for or into that i can recommend some books if you don't have any native american guidance in your area.
but, oh boy what fun they can be at 18 though ... memories .... long fading now .... i digress ...
