Has anyone ever had the chance to work with the Etruscan tarot?
I recently purchased this deck and am still getting to used to it.
I was really getting to know the Fey Tarot, and loved it to know end, but it had a tragic end. When I went back for another deck at my local pagan place store, 'twas no longer there.
I ended up feeling drawn to the Etruscan Tarot, but to me it has a completely different feel to it.
So I am wondering if anyone else has had any experience with it and if there are any tips or thoughts they could share.

Thx

At first glance, I like it.....but I had a similar reaction to the Da Vinci deck, and after using it for several months, I just found myself longin for hte familiar Rider-Waite tarot cards....all the color and familiar imagery, I guess.

oh wow, I didn't realize there were any responses to this.

It is definitely a different deck.
I read somewhere that it is something of an intuitive deck.

My Fey deck I could really use my intuition along with what I've learned from reading and experience, but there was something to it I found easy to work with.

This Etruscan is very different and I find myself shying away from it.

There isn't any Italian in our line. I love the idea of visiting the Mediteranean (I should probably learn to spell it first though, lol) Something about Italy is appealing. I'm not so keen on hitting Rome or Venice, I think it would be awesome to find an out of the way village where I could be away from the city and by the water.

There's a poem at the end of this review:

http://www.tarotpassages.com/etruscan-mh.htm

The poem is actually a walk through the majors of this deck. I reviewed it long time ago, it seems, but I do remember the classes I was taking around then, a few stressful times and the wonder of the art in this deck. I had yearned for the imaginary Mediterranean sea. My family lived around a Southern California coast, and I had been thinking of my brother and sister and us growing up around the shore.

I still treasure my Etruscan deck, which was a gift, for the gentle remembering of a poem and thankfulness--sometimes a new deck can inspire us.

Best regards,

P.S. Please excuse the bad poetry. It was just a note to mention that a good deck can help our 'creative juices' to flow.

thank you for this cerulean!
I'll have a chance to look at it a little closer tonight but it seems helpful.
Thanks!
