Twig wanted me to start a poll, for those of you who have taken the test, to see how accurate it has been for others.
Here it is.
Psstttt...Twig. Whaddya mean you can't start a poll?

The only thing I noticed was that it seemed almost everyone got the same response in different words.

It nailed me head on. LOL I love it when things do that :) Although I agree with Myst, my sisters was just like mine only in slightly different words.

I took this test and was very surprised at the results. I don't view myself as a negative person and neither do the people I know. Out of curiosity I tried all of the possible colour combinations to see what the results would be. Not very surprising was the realisation that no matter what colour combination I picked there were always problems that could be fixed with their "help". I found this site to be very self serving and really don't plan on giving them a second thought.

Heh.....well I guess I could have taken the time to read a little further down in the forum.... 8O
Now that I have, I can say that it was pretty darn accurate.... very interesting. However I'd be interested in seeing someone elses results, just in case it's one of those things that can apply to anyone in any given circumstance....

Amethyst, I'm way ahead of you. ;)
I am doing research on this due to the descriptive words attached to the word "accuracy". When words such as eerie, scary, etc. are used as descriptors in relation with a "divination tool" or "personality test" my :spidey: sense starts to tingle. I myself even used them.
So stay tuned! More to come.
Peace,

Ouch. Far too accurate for my liking. It's almost like it knows me...

So spoke the site god to me. And although I saw not his face, I was terrified all the same. After begging forgiveness and offering up rituals I was allowed to leave and meditate on my brashness
Ney. Ask me not again to invoke the features which only the great site god alone possesses. For swift is the judgement and harsh. This puny moderator has repented.

*Psst* you should talk to mol about that. Because, well, everyone else can post a poll. To my knowledge, at least.

The test was about as accurate as a newspaper's horoscope usually is. You can say a lot of flattering things and people will believe whatever they want to believe! Of course it described me. But it was too general.

First off If I'm understanding correctly, what Twig means is he didn't have the authority to edit the original thread on colorgenics to add a voting box to it.
Back on topic. For me the colorgenics was 100% correct for the first one I did. Then when I went back later and did it when I was happier it was about 75% accurate.

I took this test today, and found that it was accurate -- only 6 months out of date!! :D So what does that mean?

Very, very true. My mom and I and a couple of other people took it and while we all picked different colors and the results were worded different, they basically all said the same thing.

My friend Jami and I did it... and it nailed us both head on, and they didn't say the same things to us at all. I will agree with the scary accuracy. I've done it probably once a month, and it's come up with completely different things that describe me. I don't just pick my favorite colors when I do it, though... I let the colors sort of pick themselves if that makes any sense. Whichever one speaks to me at the time, I click it... then I go on to the next color.

Ok, I've done it ... really scary, it's too accurate. Only two sentences seem to be contradictory:
"You are the sort of person that needs a peaceful environment"
and:
"You are a true extrovert, frivolous and outgoing"
I'm definitely the first one rather than the second. But on the whole it nailed me head on.

I just did it again and was surprised at the accuracy. It went on about being depressed, needing sympathy and understanding, and a lot about missed opportunities and being frustrated that I can't reach the goals I want to. Some examples;
"You are confined and trapped in a distressing or uncomfortable situation and seeking some way out. Whatever you seem to do to resolve the problem hasn't worked out."
"You are feeling full of uncertainty and worrying over what you consider as missed opportunities. This is causing considerable stress and tension. You feel that there must be more to life than the constant pressures and anxieties"
"Resentment and stress, due to your present circumstances and/or your unfulfilled emotional needs, have produced considerable anxieties. You would like to get away from it all to somewhere that could be the personification of sympathy and
understanding."

Well I just did it and have to say it was pretty accurate.. my results:
PURPLE personalities are visionaries and highly intuitive. You are highly spiritual and aware of other levels of consciousness. Inspired by mysticism and psychic forces, you are considerate of all forms of life!
BLUE personalities are the most creative and artistic of all of the colors. Imagination is your middle name and you love to express your mind freely. You are a true visionary who usually makes your dreams come true!
You are longing for some love and affection at this time ( I have really been wanting a bf.. )- not that you have been deprived of tender loving care - but there are times when everyone needs to try something new or to go 'somewhere' else to perhaps experience that little extra 'understanding'. You are a leader in every sense of the word. ( very true) You know where you are going and you know what you need to do in order to get there. ( I'm very motivated ie college ext. ) You exercise an inherent initiative in overcoming obstacles and difficulties. You either hold, or wish to achieve, a position of authority by means of which full control can be exerted over events. You need a friend - a close friend - ( I've recently moved and don't really have any close friends yet ) and you are willing to become emotionally involved with the right person, but you are very demanding and particular in your choice of partners. ( hahaha.. that's as true as the sun) You are constantly looking for reassurance and it is perhaps because of this that you tend to be somewhat argumentative, but you try to hold back - careful to avoid open conflict - since this might reduce your prospects of realizing your hopes of establishing a warm caring relationship. You are an emotional, sincere and impressionable individual experiencing frustration and unnecessary stress. You vehemently resist any form of pressure from outside sources, insisting on your independence as an individual. You want to be a decision maker - to make up your own mind without interference. You wish to be able to draw your own conclusions and arrive at your own decisions. You detest uniformity and mediocrity as you want to be regarded as one who gives authoritative opinions. Your favourite expression could well be that 'I may not always be right but I am never wrong'. (;))You're a perfectionist and even though you may feel that the other person's point of view may be right, you find it extremely difficult to admit that you could be wrong. ( heh..) You are greatly impressed by individuality and have interest in people who have outstanding qualities. You try to imitate those people that you admire and their characteristics, hoping that you will be able to display similar qualities in your own personality. Resentment and stress, due to your present circumstances and/or your unfulfilled emotional needs, have produced considerable anxieties. You would like to get away from it all to somewhere that could be the personification of sympathy and understanding. That 'somewhere' could be close by: relax and let go - take a deep breath and look around - the situation may not be as bad as it seems
So over all cool test..

The author is a hypnotist.....hmmmm. That made me wonder if perhaps that opening screen has anything to "say". Just thinking out loud.
