what does everybody think of this WE ARE ALL GODS all humans everybody is a god, but we dont know it, we think there is someone above us, but we are part of the univers we are part of everything, and because of limitation and years of parents and social programation we dont see that we are everything we are the one.

Personally, I am a panenthiest. Deity is both separate, and within us all.

Does this mean I think that humanity are gods? No.

Personally I feel we that we are the Gods, in some way.
Like a mirror.
I can not explain it though.

I don't think so. There was a time when I believed that way, but upon further reflection, if we are gods, why worship them?

In my view we are children of the gods, beloved children, and the gods communicate with us and care about us. However, they are greater than we are and deserving of our full respect. There are aspects of them in us, to be sure - because they made us. But that doesn't make us the same thing.

When we die, we get closer to the gods, and understand a lot more about how the universe works, but in my view we still don't become gods.

(I wouldn't want to, actually.)

My view: We are children of the gods and goddesses. Well, eventually, we have to grow up, in a spiritual sense. That's what this damned reincarnation is for (don't get me started). Each life we, hopefully, slowly, move toward our own divinity.

Its akin to two adults having a child, eventually a child becomes an adult. Ergo, eventually the gods/esses children become gods/esses.

My humble opinion.

Hubris! ;)Exactly. It is one thing to believe that you are a child of the gods and quite another to expect to become one. Just my opinion from a "Greek oriented" perspective.

I don't think so. Its an interesting concept and there are examples out there of people becoming gods. But, they have to become gods they aren't to begin with. As their children we are related to them but are not them, so is the rest of the world. Some day we may be offered the chance but it is not something we recieve at birth.

I'm not a god. just for the record.

cheddar, who deeply regrets having to pass on the worship, offerings, honor, and other kudos previously offered to me before integrity forced me to admit my mere and glorious mortality!

It certainly is an interesting question...as a Hindu I can say that my highest goal is to do just that, to fully realize that I am of divine origin and that i can become God. In another way I think...its all a matter of perspective. I think Humanity are Godlike...to some other creatures. If for example we compare ourselves to Dogs...we could be classed as gods to Dogs. Dogs have a lesser lifespan than us, they mostly depend on us now, and we can do many things a dog cannot. So in that way I think we are godlike...but I agree more with the statement in a Brahman concept way. :)

i respect all ideas and its great that we can talk about this, in my experience i think that we come from the earth we are part of it in any way possible and in the sence that we come from the source the source is in us as one. but its a matter of a personal thing, some day we will know more, i guess patience it the way.. have a great night everybody!!

We are not gods. Not even close.

Yes, we all have the spark of divinity within us, but that is because we are the creations of divinity. Just like plants, other animals, and all forms of creation have this same spark.

What's a "god?" Define it.

Well, if I believe that I am part of the God and Goddess and they are within me, then I also believe they are within everyone and everything else. Therefore it stands to reason I believe all of humanity to be God and Goddess. Now, the fact that most of humanity does not seem to realize this is a whole different story...

I am not a god the way my toe is not a person. I am a pantheist. I am definitely part of the Divine, but not all of the Divine, just like my toe is part of me, and precious, but it is not all of me, nor even a reasonable representation of all that I am

I've always believed that we are our own gods/goddesses. I think we answer our own thoughts, prayers, chants, we ultimately make up our own futures and our own lives.

Just my thoughts. :)

If I'm a god, then where is my damn temple? And virgin sacrafices? And why the hell do I have to work for a living? Thats what I want to know.
