Help with possible interpretations

Hi,

I recently got a Universal Waite Tarot Deck and book set used—I got a real bargain which I was very happy about. Anyway, I previously used the Palladini’s Aquarian Deck for almost all of my readings- I’ve had it for about 16 years. When I got the Universal Waite—I thought it might be a sign because I decided to check the used section on a whim at a bookstore called the “seven stars”—and the seven of pentacles ® came up for the month of January on my spread for the year forecast. Anyway- I digress- after I got the deck I put the cards in order and cleansed them, the book, and box via smudging with dry rosemary. I then put them aside for a while. Recently (on the 27th) I decided to do my first reading with this deck—I shuffled the cards for a long time and then concentrated on my question while shuffling some more. My question was in relation to a female friend of mine who I had very strong feelings for but who didn’t share them with me. To be honest I had pretty much given up hope of ever speaking to her again and I think that I can handle that. My question was “do I have any future relationship with D; if so what will be the nature of that relationship” I spoke these words into the cards and then shuffled for a few minutes. After making three piles with my left hand and then picking up the piles with my right hand I laid out my spread. A pretty generic Celtic Cross-—following the style in the book accompanying the Universal Waite Deck. Here is the result. I would like some objective opinions on the spread if you have time. I was intrigued by a couple of things, but I would like all the opinions I can find about this—to give you a little more background on me I am a Male in my late 20s and I was almost doing the spread as a test expecting a big negative answer to my question and being OK with that.

My first thought is that there's no cups (ok well there's one) and in a relationship spread that doesn't bode well.

it seems like you are ready for stability within a relationship but still a little akward or imature in that department, although it does appear that you have encountered an amount of courage to overcome all of your past dealings or ideas on this. Yet there is still some attitude that stands in your way something needs to be ended or changed in order for you to develop this internal security to give in a relationship.The 4 of wands Knight of Swords and Page of Wands suggests to me that your "right of passage" is being forced out of restlessness and will not completley form if the steps are not followed to ensure true stability.Now with the combination of the 2 of Cups and the Knight of Pentacles I do forsee some type of encounter that will bring just that, although with the position the High Priestess is in could it be that a relationship is where you consciously think you might find this security when really its already within you waiting to be set free look beyond the obvious and fullfill your own inner emptiness before you go looking for someone else to. So maybe the 2 of Cups is a reflection of you and the Knight of Pentacles is the beginning of this new found security
