We went for it yesterday. It's the coolest thing I've seen in the way of Ultrasounds! Hunter is currently 3 pounds and 4 ounces. His heart is beating strong at 137, and everything is going great! We couldn't get him to wake up and show us his eyes, but she did get some good shots. He's right on schedule growth-wise and should be ready for his arrival sometime in August. Woo! He's also already head-down. Not that it matters of course, because he'll be a C-Section, but it's good anyway.. Hehe
My Husband was a little creeped out at the Ultrasound. Hahaha. He just thought it was strange.

How beautiful. I think its so neat!! I wanted to have one done but the hospital didnt have them.
I think I would have been nervous to see because I always feared I would have an ugly baby 8O

Oh those are awesome! I wanted to get one, but Medicaid doesn't cover them of course. And we couldn't afford the $150 my doctor charges from them. But I had a brief hospital stay on Tuesday. They did what had to be a 3D ultrasound, because it wasn't anything like the normal ultrasound I had at my 20 weeks visit. We could see his face very clearly, the bones in hands, his eyes opening and closing, him opening and closing his mouth and bubbles in the amniotic fluid! The only thing that sucked is that we couldn't get a picture :(

Thanks, Everyone! I loved looking at him with that type of Ultrasound, it was very new to me! I highly recommend it, if you can afford it. I was lucky enough to have mine for free. My Doctor doesn't believe in charging for them---because he sees no sense in charging $200+ when there are no guarantees that you'll get good pictures, or like what happened with me, that they'll open their eyes so you can see, etc...
I imagine he'll charge somewhere down the road, but he just started doing them, so he gave all his existing patients the ultrasounds for free. Weee!
They also did the regular one beforehand, to check on his head size and all. Although Hydrocephalus isn't hereditary, you can never know. But, it's all fine and he's where he should be development-wise..
