Good Morning it is 2:59am where I am so if my spelling is less than perfect please excuse me. Here's the scoop. new member on this board and have enjoyed what I read. I have been wiccan for the last few years and before I choose that path I looked around for about 2 years trying to see what felt right. But the last few month's I have became more unsatisfied so I once again did some searching. I decided on Druidism. One of the main reason's is that druidism seems to me to be suited for one who prefers an educated viewpoint., those people that believe in studying, learning and the reason's behind things, am I wrong in that view of Druidism. I also found that there was an intolerable amount of the diluting on what wicca was once by so much infiltration by the " new political action" groups. Groups that are very worthy of support by people who claim an affinity with the earth which pagan beliefs do but it has gotten to the point where the outside group influance has started to change the "theological" message which for me was unacceptable. anyway I didnt want to get into this "griping" about one sect just wondering if there are any site's the member's here could recommend, any books people recommend. I have been hitting O.B.O.D. and A.D.F's a couple hours a day reading and digesting there info but "knowledge is like friends you can never have too many/much"

Hi Belgarath! Welcome to Mysticwicks. Though I'm not a Druid, there are many here that do follow that path here. Heh! You might have to nudge Twig a bit to wake him up. I see you're from BC as well! Yay!

Welcome to MW and to the Druids Forum Belgarath. From my personal viewpoint: if it feels like the right path for you, then follow it to where it may lead you. Feel free to "ferret" around and post when you feel like it!
Blessings,

I have no advice - I'm a flagrant newbie - but wanted to say hi, and thanks - I found some comfort in reading your perceptions of Druidism. I have been leaning heavily toward that path as well... :floating:

It’s not that there is no scholarship among Wiccans, but Druidism, as a reconstructionist religion, requires a great deal of studying. Wicca is so recent that there are no ancient roots to study extensively. Druidism, Ásatrú, Hellenismos and all the rest are founded upon deep knowledge of ancient sources.
Good luck in your newfound path. :)
