MM~
Ok. Friday I got hit by a car(not as bad as it sounds) and smacked my head on the sidewalk. I didn't really tell anyone, but I kinda passed out for a minute.
I was ok on Saturday, but had this annoying perpetual headache. Sunday I was babysitting and while changing the poor kid, I blacked out momentarily and lost all my breath. I was coughing like a maniac trying to get my breath back.
Ok. So, it happened again Monday, but when I started coughing, I, um...er, kinda had blood in my mouth.
I don't know if this has anything to do with hitting my head or I'm dying or whatnot.....lol.
Does anyone know what might be wrong? Any doctors? Nurses? Or someone with a guess?
Oy.....

WHY ARE YOU HERE AND NOT AT THE DOCTOR'S?!?!?!
Not trying to scare you but those are not normal happenings & you should go check it out NOW. It's possible you might have fractured your skull. Let us know how you make out, ok? I'll send you healing thoughts but that's not gonna help you if you don't go get some help.
Did you get the name & license number of the person that hit you?

LOL. Um, the blacking out part preventing the getting of the licence plate number. It was a blue jeep. That's about all I know.
And the reason I'm here instead of the doctors is because I have this insane fear of hospitals and doctor. That and I really don't like drawing attention to myself.
Does anyone know what might be wrong?!!? I'd really like an educated guess. I can understand how hitting my head would make me pass out, but I don't know about the blood part.
ANYONE!?!?!

Well it's impossible to know what happened; especially since you blacked out. You may have broken something internally, got a concussion, or who knows what else. You need to go to a doctor ASAP

My guess is that you might have fractured your skull. Go to a doctor! Get a friend to go with you now.
We're not doctors here. Posting here is nice...we'll light a candle for you & send you healing energies but we can't help you. You need medical attention. Even if there is a doctor here, they can't help you online here. Go get help now.
Get off the computer & call a friend, a parent, a sibling, anybody & go to the doctor - hospital or clinic or whatever!
This happened on the weekend & you waited till now?!
Oy! It's the "mom" in me!

Go to a clinic...there must be walk in clinics in your area. Can you call a friend? Parents? Teacher? Neigbhour?

I'm not trying to be mean, but there is no point posting about what might be wrong if you're not willing to see someone.

I'm afraid amber's right.
You might be afraid of seeing a doctor but I'd say dying or being rushed to the ER when you go into a coma, etc. would be a lot more scary.

You dont need to hit your head very hard to cause major hemorraging. My brother was hit by a car (not very hard at all) and he fell back and hit his head on the pavement. He got up and walked away...but died a few hours later. Head injuries are not something you want to take chances with. You really need to see a doctor.

I hope if nothing else, slovene_gds, you take Haedis' post seriously!

I hate to say this but, any doctor or nurse, etc, who's worth their weight, would tell you the same thing everyone else has been saying. Go to a doctor NOW!
They would not diagnose over a message board. That would be poor practice.
I don't think you're going to find an answer here that you like.
I would tell someone you trust, if you have not already, about what has happened, and have THEM take you to see someone.
Have them sit with you, and talk to the doctors. They may be able to join you in the exam room (esp. if they are related to you, ie a parent). This may help you stay calm.
Healing energy is great, but it will not slove your problem.
I urge you to go now, if you have not already, and get better soon.

simply put, go to doctor and live, fear can be controled. or
dont go and die. simple, ne?
Not meant to be scary, but really, you must have a clue. You did
ask after all. doctor will take xrays and do a physical, some little
eye and motor control tests, ask questions. And from there you
will know whats wrong besides possible internal injuries and what
sounds like at LEAST a mild concussion, and could be major or
damaged artery in the brain.

Possible fractured skull possible concussion. If you are having any chest pains or problems breathing there is a possibility of fractured ribs or punctured lungs all of which needs a Doctor now not when you get around to it. They are not things that can be diagnosed over the net you need xrays and tests. When you are done with that you may want to see a psychiatrist for your fear of doctors so that should you ever face something life threatening again you don't have so many problems getting the care you need to keep you alive and healthy.
Other reasons???? They are more important that possible life threatening problems? Do you realize that you could be admitted to a mental hospital for observation if they learned you had been injured in a life threatening way and chose not to seek treatment? It could be deamed suicidal behavior. They do not need your consent to lock you up for your own safety.

Our thoughts go with you Naillosotarrain is my husband and I will let him know. You need to make sure they know what happened to you and you need to get some help with your fear of Doctors. I realize you wouldn't be going there if you didn't have other issues too but get some help for that while you are there. There is nothing wrong with needing some help ask for it while there and maybe they can do something for you but the matter of the accident you really need to be looked at now for your sake go see someone now about it don't keep putting it off we would like to see you keep posting and you can't do that 6 feet under.

MM~
I couldn't believe I was so blind before. The coughing up blood and passing out......it's, err, from being bulemic for the past 3 years. Hehe, oops. I guess I should've included that before, ay? The blacking out is from lack of food, I'm assuming.
After the Friday I hit my head on the sidewalk from the car, I blacked out and fell down these porch steps and whacked the back of my head on the cement ground.
Two consecutive Fridays! GO ME! WOOHOO! Lol. Sorry, I'm not serious when it comes to my health. Must be from the lack of caring. MUAH HA HA HA!! lol.
So, yah, major headache still. Anyone know somethin to get rid of it?

Go to the Green Room do a search for headaches you will find tons of ideas. My best suggestion PREVENTION!!!!!!!!! Eat and keep it down. When you force yourself to vomit you are not causing all the food to come up anyway so why not eat a very small amount and keep it down instead of putting yourself through hell? Most people that are bulemic are that way because they can't stand the idea of being fat if you don't care about your body why bother? I am simply curious and not trying to belittle the problem I had a friend get hospitalized for it.

I'm not sure why you're asking us for advice. So far, you've ignored everything we've said. I'm sure you'll do the same again for whatever we tell you anyway.
If you really want help, go to see a doctor.

I'm no psychiatrist but judging from your posts you sound like someone with histrinoic/brderline personality disorder tendencies. You might want to see a shrink. You need help.

i agree, there's no harm in being evaluated by a professional. they can determine exactly what sort of problems you have and they can perhaps help you with medication or further therapy. if you're not convinced with their prognosis, try getting a second opinion.

Also this is probably a big duh being that you are bulimic, but just in care you don't realize, by constantly vomiting you destroy the fabric of your esophogus, and cause your teeth to rot. Not a pretty sight, I've seem pictures before. :(
You definately need to see that docter, post when you get back, please.
