Astral junk, other yuckies, or what? Help!

MM everyone,

Ok here's my dilema... Lately I'd say for the past 2 months or so, I've been feeling really scared in my condo at night. After my hubby goes to bed I'm usually up for a good couple of hours just hanging out or surfing the net (I'm a night creature). I have these feelings like some nasty is going to appear or something is going to get chucked across the room, just plain feelings of something negative yet very powerful. I smudge my house about once a week or every other day. I do the sage smudge, then the salt, chant, and have a couple shrines set up (thought I just set them up and left them... don't really know if I need to do anything else around them?) But after I smudge, I don't feel anything to be different at all. Nothing feels better or more peaceful. During the day, its ok, but at night I hear lots of sounds that I know are in my home and not a neighbor, and just that feeling of presence. Yesterday for example, I was doing a Litha ritual, and the whole time I felt so frightened by these nasties or whatever it is, that I could barely concentrate in my circle. Worse part of it is that I didn't even feel safe in my own circle, how sad is that. Also, with these past few weeks of my home feeling this way, I have also noticed that I feel nasty inside as well. I don't know if I have some astral garbage attatched to me, or if someone out there is wishing me ill, but I have been feeling really angry, depressed, and just down right low. Does anyone know how I can decipher whats really going on? If it's some being in my house, or something attatched to me or both or what? Please help if you can, this is really starting to make me feel crazy, and I definately can't stand feeling like something is going to get me while I'm trying to do my rituals. Sorry for the long post!

i had this happen in my old apartment. i called in a more experienced witch to help me out. first she did all the usual clearing out procedures but it didn't work. so she came into my home on the astral realm and pushed out all the heavy dense creepy energy out. since i had a ghost that me and her knew about already she talked to him and got him to chill out, since the creep factor was do to me trying to kick him out of a home he did not want to leave.
when all else fails go in thru the astral. push out the energies you don't want and put in the ones you do. put in wards and stones/plants on the astral realm to help keep the energies clear.
another technique that a wiccan friend of mine does is create drain plugs when cleansing a space. she creates a drain plug and has all the energies that aren't wanted go down the drain and get healed and transformed by the earth. once that is done she closes up the drain.

what i personally do to keep the energies clear these days is orgone. orgone clears negative energies.

i also work with the angels and devas of the home to clear out energy that i don't want and bring in the energy that i do want.

If I was expereincing anything like what's been described I would assume I was dealing with a haunting.

I was in a similiar situation last summer, plus a few objects getting knocked over for good effect.

I tried visualizing, just closing my eyes and letting my imagination run.

So what transpired next I have no way of knowing for certain how real it was.

I asked who are you and what's your issue?

Me and her got our differences sorted out, and the negativity stopped.

hmm. ok well if smudging isnt doing the trick then i suppose you have a couple options. try placing obsidian or jet around the place, they are good at soaking up negative energy.

if that fails then its time to get nasty.

how are you with creating throught forms or servitors? try some sort of hunter killer type. try also meditating quietly with the intention of getting in touch with whatever is causing the problem and see if you can resolve things, if its unwilling give it a warning. set up wards around your house to lock it in then set a hunter killer on it - get nasty.

this is your house, not its house. its eviction time.

I know you smudged your house, but have you smudged yourself? This presence may be attached to you, not the house.

I used to have this problem, it got so bad that I didn't want to be home by myself at night. What worked really well for me is creating a witch bottle and burying it in the backyard. That seemed to worked well because now what ever it was doesn't come around any more. If that doesn't work I'd do a full house heavy cleansing.

If it gets really bad maybe you should make an offering to your patron God/dess if you don't have one and you work with them, Hecate or Kali may be good options.

Thank you everyone for your help! I've been working hard all day cleaning the house and am getting ready to smudge, put up shields, make a witches jar...the works! I just have a question about my smudging. I'm not sure if I've been doing it correctly this whole time. Usually I'll blast some happy music while I do it, but I'm not sure if the way I'm using the smudge is the way it's done. All I do is light it and wait for it to smolder, then I start at my front door and move either desoil or windershins. I've usually been doing it desoil but lately have been doing it windershins...does it matter? Also I just wave the smudge stick in a circular motion towards the walls. Are you suppose to smudge all the way up the wall to the ceiling? And how slowly do I need to be doing this cuz it usually only takes me about 10 min to do the whole place. Am I zipping through this too fast? I feel like maybe I'm not successful at smudging because I might be doing it all wrong?

no worries about the lack of experience in the astral.

all you have to do is get into a meditative state.if you can't do that in your home then go some place where you can.
ground yourself and expand the light that is within you so that it surrounds you like a giant egg. thru breath and visualization clean out your aura using colour. violet is an excellent colour for protection, healing and transformation. blue is an excellent protective colour. you can visualize a rainbow filling up your body and your aura. surround this egg of colourful light that you are in the middle of with gold, silver, platinum coating.
visualize yourself with a wand of powerful light. you can call in your deity of choice to assist you in clearing out the astral junk that is in your home. as your deity/energy/angel to protect you, to help you, guide you in blasting out the energy with the wand of powerful light.

visualize your home. walk thru the doors in your minds eye and in your imagination you see certain energies, like a dense fog or whatever this creepy energy feels like. as you walk blast with your wand all energies that feel nasty. think of it like a hose blasting water on a dirty car. like an etheric high power wash.
in your minds eye walk thru your home, into every room and blast all the energy out. as you do this see your home beautiful, peaceful, nurturing, safe, comforting and any energies that you do want to be in the house.
in your minds eye see a drain plug open up to where you have pushed all the nasties to. see everything going down the plug and down into the earth, where there are beings that help heal and transform those energies to ones that bennifit all.
once that is complete see the drain plug close.

once you have done that imagine walking around your home. put items that represent safety and you.
you can put in stones like onyx, hematite, pyrite, garnet, tigers eye, labrodite around your home in all the corners. remember this is your imagination, your visualization. you can put in anything that you want!
you can also put in plants that represent protection, like a rosemary bush, rose bush, ferns, ect ect. all around your home.
you can even visualize a protective dragon to come live in your home, and have it chase away all nasties.
if you have any protective symbols, talismans, whatever, that you work with already then put them up in your visualization.
make an invocation declaring your home as your place, and that no unwanted energies wishing you harm are allowed. declare that the stones, plants, dragons, symbols, whatever you've put in your home thru your imagination, your visualization will keep these energies from doing you any harm.
once you are done then come out of the meditation.

don't worry about your lack of experience. that doesn't matter. if it had occured to me to do this technique a few years back when i kept on moving into haunted spaces then i would have.

keep on smudging and call in on the protection of your guardians (you have them whether you are conscious of them or not), angels, deities, and energies who have your highest interests at heart.

set an intention when you smudge. before you begin smudging, but after you've lit it up set your intention.
so in your case, i'd set the intention that you clearing the space of all astral junk, creepy yucky energy. that you are reclaiming your home as your safe sanctuary.
as you smudge thru out the house continue repeating the intention like a mantra. you can draw symbols with the smudge. try drawing a pentacle, infinity symbol, 7 pointed star, whatever symbols are sacred and powerful to you. even a heart or circle!
yes to playing happy music. also remember to keep the windows open to let all smoke and energies that are leaving out.
after i have gone in with a smudge of sage/cedar/tobacco
i do it all over again with sweetgrass. sweetgrass welcomes in the good earthmama heart energies. as i do this i say welcome to all the energies i want in the home.

always remember to ask for assistance of your guides, angels, guardians, helper spirits, deities and to thank them for their loving good work!
