Ok. I can put up a brand new board that will be slick and easy to use and we will have no more problems. Here is the downside...

1. We will lose all of the posts here. I will copy the most important threads manually. But we will lose them.

Thats really the only downside. So...I leave it up to you. Do you want to put up with this board? Keep in mind that NO ONE can figure out this problem and it has been worked on for a week. So no gurantee that we can fix it.

Ok. Start posting. Its your community!

Ok. Troops. Here is the scoop. I can convert all the registrations manually. No problem, well, it is going to be tedious...but it can be done. The new board has more options in the profiles that everyone can do on their own.

Here is what i need from the staff here: Help me get the posts...I dont know how I am going to do this...because there is no script for it. Any suggestions?

I think that we can save the existing posts in the printable format or save them as a word document. Then we can post the individual posts once the new boards are up. It will be time consuming, but well worth it. Perhaps we could assign certain staff members to certain forums... and then let them know when they have to have the messages saved by. Also, we may want to close all of the forums prior to changing, and notify all members by e-mail and via posts and the main page of mysticwicks that it is being switched over.

Ok...Here it is! Lets do this.

We cant close the forums..because if we do...NO ONE will be able to access them..including staff! So we will have to just keep up with the new posts as they come...so...Lets do it this way..

Can the staff please start saving all the messages in text format..or whatever. I am going to be really busy converting all of the members over to the new database....which is ALL SQL BABY! YEAH! Can you guys and gals just yell out what forums you are going to do...

Just a quick note. Mol just called from his cell phone and gave me some news. The new board is ready to start working on. He wants to know form you all whether you want us to post each message we have copied as they are...posted by administration but with tags as to who it is originally from or log in as each individual user to post them more authentically. The latter will require more work, but that is not an issue here. We just want to make this the great place you have all come to love.

Oh and for those on the staff email list...terribly sorry about my posts coming so late. Not sure what is going on with that so just disregard them to save yourself the confusion of trying to sort them out.

Let us know what you think. By the way...this new board should be great. We are paying $160 for it. See how much we love this community!?!?!
