I'm currently taking St. John's Wort for minor depression and Kava Kava for anxiety. Can anyone attest to the effectiveness of these herbs and possibly suggest others for mood regualtion?
I've heard a lot about wild lettuce. Is it good for anything?

St John's Wort is most likely one of the weakest things to take for depression. Taken in large doses, it can add impurities to your bloodstream since it's a highly toxic plant (the oil).
Best thing for mild depression, in my experience, is aromatherapy. Spearmint and peppermint freshly picked will help, or if you buy the oils, make sure they're very potent smelling and do not come with a rubber stop (the oil will break down the rubber seal over time).
The mints also help with anxiety.
If all else fails, get a prescription.

I agree. I would add though that many drugs interact unpredictably. I recall from a previous post that you have taken other things. If you are currently not taking anything I would recommend that you give your body time to clear itself or even perform a detoxification before trying something new.
For clarification... the overwhelming majority of marketed drugs, prescription or otherwise, are plant derived or synthetic versions of plant based chemicals. For the purpose of this post anything that you put into your body that isn't specifically food is a drug. There is really no way of telling how the residual drugs in your system will interact with something new.
