Hi, I was wondering if there is anyone that knows about Lodestone-- I have seen a red, green, and black kind. I have also seen a metallic-looking kind as well. I was wondering which kinds are purported to make one more attractive and if there is a specific way to use it-- or do you just carry it around with you. I heard is is also used with oils- I was wondering if anyone knew about this or if someone could direct me to a website where I could learn more.
Thanks!

If you do a search at google.com or dogpile.com or some engine for +lodestone +magick, you'll get a number of results. (I was curious, too.) One page said that the black one is the most powerful and for attracting whatever including psychic intuitiveness. It said the green was good for attracting material things, money, employment, new car or house, etc. The red for attracting loving emotions, friendship, romantic love, etc. Hope that helps. It has to do with it's magnetic properties. (I think it's the same thing as magnetite, so you might look that up, too. Don't know if I spelled it right?)

lodestone is a form of magnetite that carries organized electromagnetic charge so that metal things stick to it. its metallic in its natural state, but often you will find it painted because its high attraction powers draw the properties of the colors. however, imo, its best to use the regular lodestone without paint if your intent doesnt relate well to the majority of the color's properties. oils, powders, herbs, other crystals, and even just wishes or sigils written on paper can be put in a bag with the lodestone to manifest or draw the desired intent to you.
carrying lodestone around is interesting. . . the more negative aspects are that its heavy energy-wise; it may draw unwanted things unless properly programmed, and its magnetic properties make it harder to clear out energies that need to be cleared out. it holds things, and does not allow for change. . . kinda Saturnian influences. the positive things are kinda covered in the above paragraph. . .

Thanks for both your help.
Do you have any recommendations on how to charge the lodestone to home in on your desire-- if I wanted just general attractiveness would you recommend writing that on paper and putting in in a sack with the lodestone- or soaking the stone in oil and then putting some of the oil on my face?
Thanks.

I wouldn't put general attractiveness. That could lead to attracting things that are not necessarily wanted. If your talking physical appearance, you need to specify that. It would be hard for me to say what you should do, since I don't really know or understand what you are wanting to attract. Maybe think about what you think would make you more attractive.

that's magnetite I believe, isn't it? I've got this red piece of hexogonal magnetite, when I got it the lady told me it was for healing, but that's hexogonal. Regular lodestone is more polar from what I hear; not really manic, so much as it is balancing.
I've found though certain stones have different affects for different people. Meditation can be very helpful for figuring this out
