I've recently sumbled across philip h. farber's web page where he integrates Neuro-Linguistic Programming and ritual magick into what he calls "meta-magick". i was wondering if anyone here would like to offer their own opinions about NLP, and/or Farber. like if its worth incorporating into one's practices or if NLP isn't really anything different than ceremonial magick...or whatever. i've read a little about NLP and i can't say i've really made my mind up on it--as soon as i see somethign beneficial, i'll find somethign else that will make me think, "wha?".

http://www.meta-magick.com/ thats the page, btw

Sounds like something that could be incorparated in to Magickal practice to powerful effect.

I wouldn't touch it, but that's just me.

There's something manipulative about it, that would make it prone to abuse.

NLP had taken on associations with psyops/propaganda and subliminal advertising.

I like NLP, have been studying for quite some time. One has to look past the commercialism though, and realise that all cultures aren't equal. One has to remain critical at all turns.

NLP is a kind of magic in its own right. It can be very effective, for instance in commercial and service activities. I don't quite understand the link with ritual magick. NLP most definitely isn't ceremonial by itself. Never heard of Farber. Will check him out.
