I think i have some of the smartest cats, but of course, I'm biased.

My little one plays fetch like a dog. She collects those little plastic rings off of water bottles...and brings them to me. I throw them, she fetches them, and brings them back to me. She brings them into the bed, while I'm sleeping, so that first thing I wake up in the morning, i see three of them on my pillow, as if she's waiting for me to wake and play with her.

We also have one of those laser pens, and she is so smart, that the second she see's me pick up the pen, she meows and waves her tail around excitedly. If she for a second loses track of the beam, she turns around and runs towards me, staring at the pen itsself, meowing. She's no fool. She knows that it's only a game, and she knows the source of the game, is the pen.

My other cat, can open doors, by turning the knobs. And..he goes to the bathroom now..IN THE TOILET.

smart cats :)

I've heard of cat using the toilet. How did you train yours to do that?

That's what is so odd. We really DIDN'T train him. LOL. he just learned through observation, I suppose. And maybe he despises the litterbox, because the other cats use it???

They're so cool. I think my cat is smarter than he lets on. He's just too lazy to exhibit his intelligence.

Just don't teach him to flush. A friend of mine did that, and now the cat likes to just sit there and flush so it can hear the fun noise. You wouldn't believe the water bill!

:blushake: Mine recognises her name & actually comes when it's called (....most of the time...and only when my dad & I do it.. )

My cat is really smart too. He knows that if he's in the kitchen and stands on his hind legs and waves at me with his front paws, he will get food. He also knows how to get in and out of our cabinets at will. He also knows how to open doors, but he hasn't actually been successful yet. He jumps up at the door knob and raps his paws around the knob but he still hasn't been able to turn it. I want to teach him to use the toilet I think that would be the coolest thing. Ken-Ohki is my baby. :D

Awww!! I love cats, they are just too cute sometimes.

One our cats likes to pull all the socks out of the sock drawer. Nothing but socks.

And my cat, also knows her name, she (usually) comes when she's called. She pants like a dog. (Weird eh??)

And the other one just sleeps and eats. He's getting old and starting to drool. :)

 Mine wags her tail all the time.. 8O

:dis: And one time, we left her at a kennel (cuz we went on vacation) and when we came back the lady asked us if we were sure the cat wasn't a dog... :bug::lol:

My cat sometimes gets soo hyper he chasses his own tail like a dog. Of course unlike a dog he can actually catch it. :T

Cats? Smart?
Here at my house, I pay the bills, clean the litter boxes, & do the grocery shopping. My Posse (3 cats) are in charge of everything else.
They do let me watch 'West Wing' & 'The Newshour w/ Jim Lehrer'' but most of the time the idiot box is tuned to Animal Planet. They like dog shows. They think it's weird that there are animals who obey people.
They own me.
