I just got a new puppy, a police bred german shepard. She is so cute and cuddly, stinks to high hell but dogs tend to... The sad part about it was that I sent my mother out to get DOG FOOD not a new dog... That is the last time she goes out of the house alone. She also bought a new car  was this even down the dog food isle?!
Any was she (the dog) is a black and tan/silver twelve week old thing, barely weened... She is so cute and so much trouble, that makes four pets in a no pets rental... Can we say eviction... She is still scared of the other dog and hasnt met the cats yet. They are going to be a holy terror once they see her... Eh she's cute I dont care what they think, but so stinky...

Your new puppy sounds so sweet. Are you going to keep her? Have you thought of a name yet?

Oh, I love all animals, I'd say. I'm really more of a cat person, though. Or a bird person. Hedgehog person. Pig person?

OOOH I love Hedgehogs, I always wanted one. They are one of the coolest animals... Do you have one?

I used to have a hedgehog. Grumpiest animal I ever met.
Now I just have cats. I just discovered I'm allergic to dogs, which is unfortunate, as I've always wanted a Papillon. Oh well. I have a fish tank, and am debating whether to put fish or a snake in it.

My husband and I are both dog people. Moving into a house sometime in the next couple of months, so sometime after that we'll look into getting a dog. Might be a little while, we're having a baby this August and the thought of a puppy and a newborn at the same time might just drive me the rest of the way insane LOL :D

I love both too- and I can be with either my dog or cat depending on what my needs are at the moment. If that makes sense!
Congrats on our puppy- what did you name him?
BTW, your mom sounds like my hubby!

I can relate, first my cat destroyed the material on the bottom of my box spring, by climbing up into it. And after that was all down he started to eat the foam stuffing, I think he's lonely or something.

My cats figured out how to get in the boxspring, then showed the dog. Someone also poked a hole in the futon which the dog chews on. And the cats like to run through the living room extending their claws to pull up the carpet; then the dog chews up on the threads that get pulled up. *sigh* :)

I'm really more of a snake and goat person myself. I have no idea why...they arent incredibly cuddly. I'm fairly indifferent towards cats...they just seem kind of stuck up, and selfish. Dogs on the other hand are more compassionate and loving. Ever notice how some dogs can tell when you're sad or upset, then try to make you feel better? Dogs are sweet...but nothing beats a baby goat.

do you like those little "fainting" goats? They are so cute!:D

I don't know; when I'm sad my cat usually seems to want and cuddle, I think they can tell most of the time... They look at you strange when you cry though.
I love albino snakes, though I don't care for pythons, too big for my liking. I also want a tarantula, and one of those black scorpions... I think they are King scorpions, not sure. I'm fascinated by them, and they are so docile. :D

Nothing beats an anaconda! (oops I have a puppy now I can't get one :wah: well if the puppy get's out of control... )
Any way get this, my mother is getting rid of my cat's because they look at her funny! The cats are like wolves really, they attack anything and everything in a pack formation, one distracts and the other comes up from behind and claws the hell out of em or jumps/claws them. It is funny they took on my grandpa and almost got killed! He hates cats as does my mother... :( They are cute little imbreed things, I'll miss them :(...

I'm just an animal person. My menagerie has been shrinking slightly, I'm down to 2 dogs, 4 cats, one bird, one rabbit, one boa constrictor and two fishtanks. (I have a newt and a frog among other things in one tank...gotta keep those witchy critters nearby! LOL)
I have never been able to pick between being a dog person or a cat person, I'm both. They're very different animals, and I love them for who they are. :) Even my snake I love, even though she's so durn strong she nearly broke my fingers the other day when I was tryin' to get her off my shelf. And she broke my Gaia statue, dangit! But I still love her...such an impressive and beautiful creature, simple but not too simple...
The bird does get on my nerves though...he's so demanding! But..y'know... He has his good moments, and he's very pretty and lively...I love letting him fly around the house, just have to watch for leaping cats, LOL.

My kitties come to cuddle when I'm upset.
Two of the greatest things are coming home to my very happy puppy excited to see me, and having a nap with my cats and puppy on the bed with me.

I really love animals period, but cats make me have asthma, so I just look and wish. Right now I have a dog, name..Cid. I have always wanted a Boa Constrictor, but all my family threatens to never have anything to do with me again if I get one, so the first present I am going to buy myself when I pass the Hermit's test is a Boa!

There is no doubt in my mind that I am a cat person, always have been. They're low maintenance, sweet, friendly, quiet, clean, and intelligent. They also don't hump your leg, drool on your knee, need to be taken for walks, bark at nothing, uhhh...I'm getting carried away. I like cats. I have a sweet little short-haired black cat and a darling short-haired gray cat, both females.

LOL, mato, that's probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Perhaps I should amend my statement to say that they don't usually do all the things I mentioned. And I think it may just be you. ;) You should be flattered...or something. :D

I love dogs, but we live with my parents and they say no dogs!!! We have a cat. about 6 months old. little cutie... But I know what you mean about the disgusting things cats do.. My female I had about 15 yrs ago was "in love' with my brother.
at least until we got her spayed.
I love cats too.
I have a snake but don't play with her much.
I love my fish, but the local racoons ate them all. So I have no more koi. But I will figure out a way to keep them out of the pond.
I've had ducks, rabbits. birds. rats,
I want a dog. A llaso Apsho (sp?) Used to have a mix of a Peke and llaso...want another one.
