I know what i'm trying to say but i'll see if i get make it come out right. This has to do with the whole sun, rising, and moon signs in general. For instance, my sign is scorpio, rising (capricorn), moon sign (cancer). What exactly does my rising and moon signs mean for me? I don't see many (if any) capricorn traits that i've read about in me. I guess what i'm trying to say is how does these two other signs affect me and where do they come in?

Another thing i'm wondering about is how do i determine my compatibility with other signs such as pisces? I've always heard that it's one of the best matches for scorpio but does it also matter according to their/my rising signs too? For instance, does THEIR rising have to be compatible with MY rising or either my sun/their sun? I hope someone understands what i'm trying to say because i even confuse myself sometimes. LOL8O

well, quite possibly, especially if you are under 40, *not* one of more of those configurations ... if you are completely attached to the current prevailing energies of the earth, then yes, the traditional tropical books would be applicable to you. however, if you are not totally attached to this world (in terms of the 'mainstream' ... e.g., what most people on the planet see as reality), quite possibly you are not a completely tropical person and are based more in reality than the illusion of reality that the common man experiences. i call it 'living sidereally in a tropical world' ... as you get more and more in tune with the truth, the more powerful you become.

i wrote my basic concept for this phenomenon on my blog ... http://businessvoodoo.blogspot.com/2006/04/living-sidereally-in-tropical-world.html ... if you want more specific info, i'd be happy to look at your chart.

this is not too much unlike the concept the movie the matrix is based upon. its also the concept that jesus spoke about when he said 'be in the world and not of it.'

Your rising sing, Moon, Venus, etc are really components of a whole. The Moon is your emotions, the rising is your outer personality. The reason many focus on the Sun/Moon/rising combo is that they tend to give a very good precis of one's personality. The strength of each of those pieces depends on what the other planets in your chart are up to. If your Saturn (which rules Capricorn) is in a sign or has some aspects that tend to mute him, then you will not feel a lot of his Capricorn energy. Looking at your chart, your Saturn is at 29 degrees Leo in the 7th house. Leo is traditionally a tough placement for Saturn and the 29th degree is especially difficult - as planets get ready to change signs, in the last (anaretic) degree they are viewed as not really in their current sign anymore, but not yet in their new sign, so kind of unfocused in how they express themselves. That is probably one of the reasons you might not feel a lot of Saturn influence.

The Suhn sign is a good place to start, but what I consider most important in comparing two charts, especially when they are for romance, are the Venus/Mars placements. Other important considerations are, as you said, the Sun and rising signs, but I also look at their Mercury (how you talk to each other) and Moon (how you make each other feel). It can can easily get mind-boggling when you try to consider all the different parts! :awilly:

In general, I'd say you would do well with Water and Earth signs, especially Taurus or Cancer. But don't count out Leo either - with your Mars there in your 7th house a Leo partner would really be beneficial for you. But don't reject anyone who doesn't fit into those molds either! (I'm dating someone whose Sun and Venus have nothing in common with mine, but we have conjunct Moons, my Juno on his AC and his Sun is on my 7th house cusp! In other words we're compatible with thigs other than our Suns.)
