I think the "kitchen witch" idea could be cute using the forks, spoons, knives and plates or something along those lines... hee hee But when making a deck you have to put a lot of thought into the symbolism behind the art. Like, in your mind how do you see the forks and wands going together? I'm not disagreeing with the choice, just curious. :)

Well, I think forks are an obvious phallic symbol, which makes them perfect for wands. If you were to group the Forks, Spoons, knives and plates, don't you think they'd be the best correspondent? I do :)
I know some of my choices are better that others, but I think most of them are pretty good and will work well for my deck. Do you have any alternative objects?

I do :)Definitely. I think it's a neat idea. You could totally run with something revolved around the kitchen. The cooking and preparing, serving, dining, the cleaning afterwards... all aspects of it. That to me is how any "theme" tarot works.
You have alot of other neat ideas, too. I just focused on one by accident. ;)

I've read somewhere that wands represent the transformation of thoughts into actions. When I think of this, I would suggest pens being a possibility (not a typo: PENS :))
Since swords can represent letting one's emotions get the better of them (in a bad way)- I think needles or thorns could be possibilities.
Cups can represent joy and merriment -- I may be way off but maybe pipes (snoking pipes) which can represent joining together and making a pact.
Pentacles usually represent money in the books I've looked at, but I think they can just be stars.
Anyway, just a few random thoughts.

In the 'Alice in Wonderland' tarot they used Peppermills for Wands, Oysters for the Pentacles, Flamingoes for the Swords, and Mad Hatter hats for the Cups.
Can't read a damn thing with that deck!
