with a gd mouse and my f'ing wussy cat refuses to hunt for the thing and I dont know how to get her to do it other than locking her in the room yet that only seems to encourage her to mew for the other cat and some dog food! ARG!!! The cat is useless and she is going to the f'ing pound in the morning! The other cat is even more lazy and he is just going to become slippers! ARG!!! I am tempted to put them both out of their missery and the mouse will become my new pet! I hate these stupid things!

Domestic housecats that get fed daily don't suddenly turn into wild mousers, sorry. Use a mousetrap :)

... I had a cat that used to catch mice outside, and then bring them in, alive, and let them go. I think he thought I needed the exercise.

I think I'd rather deal with a mouse than all this hair. The one who's shedding the most is the one that gives me the hardest time about being brushed. It's to the point where I'm wondering if it's gonna damage my computer. Vaccuuming daily is becoming my regular workout.......I'm doing the furniture, my bedspread, etc.

I used to use poison, but then you have to deal with the poor little guy coming out and wobbling around with a "help me" look in its eyes and dropping dead in front of you...........

Slippers, huh? Mmmm, what a pretty orange color they'd be.......

well the cats are out of the question, they'll be gone by the end of the week any way so oh well. The mouse and I worked out an arrangement, he can have the basement when the cats are gone and he will stay out of the upstairs, until then he is to hide in the vents until I get ride of the cats. It is a win win situation, I caught him and he made the deal if he goes back on his word it is bye-bye mousey. Muahahahaha!!! First the mousey then the WORLD!!! MUAHAHAHAHA!!!

sorry long night...

It's sad having to do such things to the little mice. Have you ever seen a mouse after it was caught in a trap. It's eye's are all poped out of there head; and mice always look so cute, so you feel bad that you had to kill them. :(

Yes, I know and I hate traps that don't even kill them. They lay there struggling for a long time. Neither of these methods are humane and I feel guilty for laughing about it........Mice really are cute, disgusting because I don't want them chewing my bread wrappers and leaving droppings under my stove, but cute.

Sorry the cats have to go, Mato, but I'm glad you and the mouse have agreed to cohabitate. BTW, most well-fed cats WILL go after mice - to play with them instead of eat them. They end up scaring them to death. Yours just must not be up to sport. As much of a PIA that mine are, I have to keep 'em. Love 'em too much, and I've had one literally since her birth seven years ago.

mice are real cute in a cage as pets, but a very big nuisance loose
in the house.

Do you think they're in cahoots with office machines that malfunction when you're on a deadline?:)

The mice are probably the ones causing the malfunftions. ;)

Just don't use one of those glue traps for the mouse especially if the cats are
still there.
when i lived at home my mom had a glue trap down and my cat found it
actually had it stuck to him. he flipped around so much he broke his tail. I had to
keep him sedated for a week till most of the pain went away he now still has
mussle spasms and attacks his tail, if it wasn't so sad it would be funny! :D

They're not so great for the mouse, either, I think they're even less humane than traps and poison.

I use a bow and arrow to get rid of mice.....until my kitty gets big
enough for the job!

A mini crossbow might work better as it is less cumbersome, and quick and easy to use. ;) :D

True, but I am such a traditionalist. Hidebound, and cant conform
with these new fangled ways!

Aw, they've gone from "f-g wussy cats" to "my kitties," have they? I have a wild one that I've been feeding that you can have. I had to stop feeding the birds because she was trying to get them when they tried to eat. Her name is Magick - and she can get that mouse!

My kitty caught a mouse once then didn't know what to do with it...so of course it let it go.

The heart grows fonder with distance (or something to that equivalent...) either way I like them more in somebody elses house instead of mine. Just as the idea of a puppy was a better one when it wasnt my carpet that she was potty training on... Besides the cat's are demons they will survive, what was that old saying, 'you cant kill evil...'

The Egyptians treated the cats as gods -

The cats have never forgotten this.
