my favorite part about my new job, is that the building i work in is haunted! i love it to death, especially since i work overnights and "everyone's" more active then.

theres really no point to this thread, i just thought i would share.

well yeah!

everything from voices, to one of them turning the TV off and on and changing the chanel, tapping their fingers on the chair im sitting in, tapping their foot on the leg of the table im sitting at, walking around, moving chairs, hell, even had one of them shaking the corner of the news paper i was reading one night, (and no, there are no fans or ceiling fans either), to the smells of perfume from the lady who died there and its all men who live there now. and everyone is usually asleep by about 10 or 11 pm and i work midnight to noon.

the only thing i havent experienced yet, is the formation of matter into a physical form. but im sure as time goes on and they get used to me they will. but then again, i cant tell my superiors this stuff cause the last person who did got fired. something about working in the mental health field and saying youre seeing and hearing things doesnt go over too well.....

i would assume as client confidentiality is a big thing there, bringing something in to record anything would probably be a big no, no. but it would be cool if i could.:)

well, last night was a first for me. typically, if/when i see or sence the presents of spirits, and if there are voices, they are muffled and you cant really make out any words. personally, im one for always saying that ghosts cant talk. night shift has most of the cleaning duties, which sucks.. anyway, i was mopping the laundry room floor and just as i finished, the female spirit said "wow! it looks good."

i was like WTF and said "let me know if your there next time, you freaked me out. besides, im probably gonna have to sweep and mop it again cause the mop brought out more lent. why dont you do me a favor and pick up all the lent in there so i only have to mop again instead of having to sweep too."

of course she didnt say anything after i said that. but when i went back in to mop about an hour later, she actually picked up all the lent and put it in the trash for me! ghosts are so nice sometimes.:)

That's pretty cool. I don't know how I'd react to working in someplace that was haunted. I'm sure I'd get used to it. It would probably all come down to the feeling I got from the spirits and how "friendly" they were.

There's a haunted house for sale in Florida, apparently one of the selling points is actually the haunting. ;)

COOL! the owners should have put it up on EBAY. i bet they could get a hell of alot more money out of it!


That's pretty cool. I don't know how I'd react to working in someplace that was haunted. I'm sure I'd get used to it. It would probably all come down to the feeling I got from the spirits and how "friendly" they were.

its not as bad as they talk about on TV like the demon posessed stuff, its actually quite intertaining and more like the shows that talk about how lights and TVs turn on and off and chairs moving and doors opening and closing and stuff. i just found out today that im going full time starting next week over in the building across the street. its haunted too, but i dont think they are as active as the ones in the building im in now. from what ive heard, the only thing most people experience there is the smell of bleach and draino late in the night by the room of the guy who killed himself by drinking the two. oh well, we'll see what i can stir up over there. maybe they'll be more active having someone like me around.:)

well, there was only that one night when the woman spoke to me. ive not yet worked overnights at the building im starting at next week. so who knows, maybe they will be more comfortable around me there too. not to mention everyone will go back and forth between the two visiting people in real life, maybe they still will in the after life too! one can only hope...well, i can only hope anyways.
