Wasn't sure what to title this as.
I'm been interested in doing some sort of crystal work for a while now, and through intention and the 'I like the look of it' factor, I have quite a collection. My question isn't really about crystal working though, not as such.

My crystals currently reside in a cloth bag under my bed, and they are probably in need of a good cleansing. The reason I haven't done any crystal work is because I don't want them to soak up any sort of negative energies that stem from my emotional state at the moment.

I guess what I'm after is some advice. Are they ok under there? Or is it best to just clean them regardless? I think they are there just to keep them out of the way of the emotional feedback that must be flying around everywhere.

I'm a little stuck.

If you don't have a use for them yet I'd leave them. If you want to use one for something I'd take it out and cleanse it. I'm sure they're fine where they are tho.

Thanks, that has reassured me a little. The last thing I need at the moment is another lot of bad things building up. I'm sure they can sit quiet for a while, being millions of years old!

I do the same thing with my crystals, I keep them in a pouch somebody made for me. I know a few others who do this too, it seems to be the consensus ;)

Good morrow fellow travelers! Don't let those precious little things go to waste!

Why not move them up between the mattresses and put them to use? I put my clear and rose quartz there with the points following the bodys meridian lines [head to foot] and my backaches decreased by 50% [I have 2 "crushed" disks]! I just make the extra time to cleanse them about every 2 weeks.

Peace,
Twig

What a good idea, Twig! I'm going to try that for my hubby.

crystals are pretty resilient against short-term exposure to negative stuff (and by that i mean a week or two) before they need cleansing. generally, whenever i feel i should cleanse my rocks is when they need to be cleansed. a way i really love to clean my rocks that gets them all nice, even when i am messed, is to just place them in a non-metal bowl, pour salt around them, and let them sit for 24-48 hours.

the rose quartz may actually help you a lot right now to stay more emotionally balanced. . . but storing them in a cloth bag is fine.
