I was very much enjoying all aspects of witchcraft and felt truly connected for almost 3 years and then over the last few months I have totally lost any meaning witchcraft had for me. Any suggestions on how to get it back?

Have you had any issues in your life over the past few months? I know that when I went through my separation and divorce, I lost touch with my spirituality...did NO energy work, spells, meditations, etc. Perhaps there is something going on that is effecting your practice of witchcraft.

perhaps you should meditate on what has happened, then take steps to correct it
maybe it is just a motivation factor, that happens to me sometimes

This has happened to everyone I know who gets interested in it, including myself. I like to call the boredom lapses!

What I did was start really simply by lighting a candle and praying before bed and when I woke up; doesn't have to be to a deity could be to your higher self. From there I just cast small spells and got all my ideals back.

Maybe it is just because of boredom like what LiaWifeMother said. After three years you probably got bored of doing the same thing over and over again. You should try a new routine.

Alot of women go into Wicca thinking that it empowers them. When they finally start practicing Wicca, they feel even more restricted, partly because of the general negative reputation that they get.

You really have to evaluate your reasons. For me it was about transformation, discovering my own spirituality and beliefs. Its not supposed to be cool or hip or fun to do, it is a discovery of learning and making peace with your younger self.

Find the adventure and you will find yourself again. Take joy in the small aspects of Witchcraft and enjoy the beauty of nature and its subtle surprises. I think you think that the mystery is all gone. You have barely scratched the surface.

Im alsmot wodnering if its the best thing for you to get it back. If it has lost meaning for you...ask yourself why it has. If you have interest in other things, are you ignoring those other things while lamenting this loss of Wicca. Evaluate every factor in your life and maybe you'll find that this connection has lost power becasue of soermthing else growing...and perhaps maybe its more evolution of spirituality? I personally dont think we as humans need anything, whatw e have merely helps us...Im almost wondering, by your reply...what brought you to witchcraft in the start might be resolved now AND you simply are just moving on as a person, its scary but its not a bad thing.

i completely agree with that.

maybe you just got so into all the "technical" or intellectual aspects of your path and forgot why you really got into it in the first place. i know that a few years after getting into wicca (back when i used to practice it) i went through this period of utter boredom. and i couldn't figure out why! but it wasn't because i was doing something wrong, i had just spent so much time reading and studying and writing rituals and spells - that i had forgotten to take the time to enjoy the simple pleasures of all the magic happening everywhere around me every day. the joy of just being alive. and the satisfaction in being thankful that i am free to worship how i want to.

so get your nose out of the books for a while! start taking time out of your day to enjoy nature again. go on a walk or sit at the park and just observe the wind in the leaves. and there are so many other things you can do! you could even volunteer in your community: it might help you feel more connected to others and give a surge of energy and purpose back into your life and your path. not to mention it could only help reinforce the positive image us pagans are trying to present in a society that is largely misinformed about who we are and what we do.

i hope that helps.

Thanks so much for your reply. I think maybe you're right, I was working too hard at it, thanks for pointing that out. I don't generally post, but I'm glad I did, I have been getting useful feedback.

You evolve... as does your spirituality.

Don't forget to let yourself grow.
