Make a simple sheet cake, rectangular-shaped.
Chocolate icing to represent Earth and for those choco-holics. With a tube of icing, carefully draw a line diagonally across the cake. Then draw a second line in the opposite direction, so that they criss-crossed and created 4 sections all meeting in the middle of the cake. Designate sections as representing North, East, South, and West.
In the Northern quadrant, symbolizing the element of Earth, put a few animal crackers, lots of green sprinkles for grass, and pretzel sticks that looked like trees. In the Western quadrant, use blue sprinkles for water and cheese goldfish crackers. In the East, use yellow to represent air. Put small candy eggs inside the quadrant. In the South, red sprinkles represent fire and of course, that's also where to put all the candles!
Have fun decorating the cake and coming up with new ideas for each quadrant. As an added benefit, it's always barely subtle enough that non-pagans will
enjoy the cake without realizing what it means.
