i know there are a lot of celebrities who frequently tout their religion. john travolta and his scientology, for instance, or innumerable athletes and christianity. does anyone know of any pagan celebrities?

and i mean, besides people who are famous for being pagans or doing pagan-y stuff. i know of lots of pagan authors and whatnot. i found a listing of pagan celebrities in a book or something, and that's all there was, so...?

Isn't there some singer who's got a guy's name or something and she sings kinda bluesish stuff and she's Pagan. I wish I could remember her name it's Bobbie, or Jimmie or something crazy like that.

It's ok...Danustouch bumped up the thread for you.

No one's saying you should stop posting. What we are saying tho is that a lot of topics have already been brought up before, and you might find something useful if you take the time to search for them.

With over 2000 members you can imagine we have a wealth of information here already at your disposal.

Yes ... almost every bit of it posted at least twice.

Pssssssstttttt..Just a thought..but can you imagine all the bandwith that would be saved, if people ran a search on the topic they want to ask about before posting a new thread about it, just in case their question was answered elsewhere? ;)

It's not as if anyone is genuinely ticked when we see a thread repeated more than once....Myst was just pointing out something that might be a better use of time and such :)

No biggie.

I personally would not want to search for every topic before I post it...I have missed a lot due to lack of time to frequent the boards so I could easily bring up something currently hot in another thread. A simple direct to that thread would be welcome, but not so much a two word post saying search function. Kinda comes across as rude I think. That's just me though, I tend to over explain everything just so I don't come across as being short.

And I don't waste words to spare feelings. *shrugs* I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round tho. :p

I was going to say something, but you beat me to it, Semele

btw- IT'S WONDERFUL TO SEE YOU BACK!!! I was really starting to miss you!! I think I PMed you once. . . ^^; I don't remember lol it's been too long! *HUGS*

blah, who wants to go around looking up topics? if those threads fell, obviously they weren't "hot" anymore. . . sure there might be info, but what about a new discussion? It could go along completely different lines and ideas! hehe

Myst- I seem to remember someone talking about wishing other people had tact. . . . ^_^ rudeness comes in all forms, but then, as you say. . . it takes all sorts of people to make a world.

as far as saving bandwith, how about not quoting the entire previous post when replying?

Yeah and mol asking us to cut down on sigs probably helps.

And people not posting a pic with every post *really* helps.

Good thinking. :)

I don't think it's a matter of not looking up old threads because they "aren't hot topics anymore", but the fact that sure bring it up now for new people to discuss but what's the point of keeping all the older posts if no one is going to take advantage of what was shared then? I mean if you want to just see what newbies to MW think and not what was shared by members in the past or even what was said about it yesterday go nuts. Personally I'd rather sift through all the information available.

Well, thats, imo, how the community grows. People might have had something different to say a few months ago, for one thing, and for another, if we all just keep going back to the old friends to see what we think, we'll probably never get a chance to discuss what we think. I especially don't like it when someone tells people who are inquiring about specific problems to use the search function ... to me, it seems like telling them that their problems aren't worth the time it takes to discuss them. Its a pretty ignorant thing to say whenever an old topic pops up, imo.

Ok I guess I have to say this again for those who aren't swift enough to catch on - saying "use the search function" in an effort to get people to look at old threads as well is NOT equal to me saying "don't talk about it now". Do both. Personally if I know I've already answered the question I'm going to mention that someone should go look there to see what everyone said before, as well as seeing what people say now.

And I think it's pretty ignorant that certain people don't seem to be reading my post carefully. :)

Ok...Myst has stated her opinion....you guys have stated your's. Anyone who knows myst, knows she's not going to automatically do an about face on her opinion..so...why don't ya'all just stop harping on the subject? The thread has been bumped, regarding this, so that he can see the previous discussion, and if anyone's interested or has any new info, they can post it. Ok? Meanwhile...this is getting off topic.

Sorry..I'm not moderating, really I'm not. I just hate to see stupid stuff harped on.
