I read something about a physical empath the other day and was wondering if anyone here knows about it or is one?

yes, a phsical empath can actually feel other peoples actual phsical ailments. I at times do feel peoples phsical pain.

does it only deal with pain or can it just be physical problems?

OMG, there's a lable for that? I feel more normal already. :D
In my experience it can be either or both at the same time. Pain is the easiest thing to pick up, but not the only thing.
Pain generally indicates that there is a physical problem, and personally I can't see the point in taking another person's physical problem into yourself but leaveing them to deal with the pain, but that's just me. I guess it depends if you are controling it or not?

I wonder if "physical empathy" isn't related to one of the topics on the Mystic Wicks Paranormal forum? You might check out the thread "Energy/situation transferred to a pet". If you do look at that thread, read the various posts... there is something related to empathy, and maybe specifically to this kind of physical empathy, in the discussion... or so it seems to me.
In other words, I think the principle of physical empathy has a variety of depths and manifestations and uses. In India they seem to have developed some ways of working with it creatively, to an impressive degree.
What do you think?

your just making it harder for new empaths to understand there abilities by placing symantics on it.
your in affect treating the symptoms not the disease.

I've had that happen, though generally only with people with whom I feel very closely connected.
(Like my husband and kiddo.)
Ex.: I got near to my daughter and my ankle inexplicably started to hurt.
I looked at her and said, "Meg, do you have a boo-boo?"
"Yeah."
"Where does it hurt?"
*points to ankle*
Mostly it's just me getting headaches when my husband has them, though.

I'm a massage therapist and energy healer. I can empty myself and become a channel for healing letting the energies of the universe flow through my hands. I immediately go to the part on a persons body that is in pain and I dissolve it. It is a natural ability but it comes with a price. I have had to stop doing massage professionally because I took on my client's physical and emotional illness and troubles. For example...If my client had recent throat surgery I would go home with a sore throat. I have tried 'every' grounding, clearing technique available to me. I've used Bogi stones, insence, visualizations, hand washing, white light, prayers...etc. I've worked with master healers, taken seminars...you name it but still I would often become ill. So now I do massage for family only and channel my healing energy into my artwork.

Thanks for all the replies!!
I have some physical problems that I want to get healed.
Now I'm wondering how I find someone who can do that around where I live!
