I had a strange urge to look up my horoscope on Yahoo today. Usually, I don't do that, since I think most of the commercial horoscopes out there are dooky. But..anyway..while I was there, I clicked on this link.
http://astrology.yahoo.com/us/astrology/divination/karmasigns/index.html
Which calculates where Saturn (planet which governs karma) was in your chart on the day of your birth.
First, let me say the result was pretty true for me. (blushes) So true in fact, that I hesitate to post it, since it's kinda embarrassing. Secondly...the only problem I have with it, is that it asks your date of birth, but not your time of birth, or place of birth. Would these two factors influence where Saturn lands in your chart???

Pssssst...Just in case anyone is feeling generous..i would really like to learn what my karmic lesson in life, according to my astrology, is supposed to be. I'd like to compare it to what this yahoo thing said.
My birthday is 5/22/75, 9:01 A.M, Danbury, CT. 06810

Because Saturn moves so slowly, you just need birthdate to calculate it's sign position. But without time they can't tell which house it's in... so they're doing fairly crude astrology.
IMO, the north lunar node tells you more about your karmic lessons. Saturn is more about what's going to interfere with you learning your cosmic lessons.

hmmmmmmm...a north lunar node. Let me guess..that's not typically something I'm going to discover off of www.astro.ch
is it?

The north lunar node is usually given in any Ephemeris, and the south node is always in exact opposition to the north (so it's generally not given). They move very slowly.
For most astrological stuff I know exactly what the underlying astronomical event is, but I have no idea what lunar nodes actually are.
Generally, the south node describes you last life and the north your next life. It might be true that they are your sun signs from the respective lives (some astrologers intrepret them that way).
And while we're on multi-life stuff, your 12 house cusp was your ascendant last life and your 2nd house cusp will be your ascendant next life (again, according to some astrologers)
Many astrologers, of course, don't believe in reincarnation. They generally consider the south node to reflect an influential ancestor and the north node to represent where you will end up by the end of your life.

Ok...on the chart I had made up...it told me what my "True Node" is...what is that? Is it a North or South Node?

That's probably the north node.
Is your birthdate in your profile accurate? I'll look it up for you tonight.

So you did... oh, I was born in CT too :)
Your north node is in the 1st deg of Sag - which means both Sag and Scorpio figure into your karmic direction. The node also went direct on you birthday - that puts some emphasis on it. So your karmic lessons are complicated and urgent...
But, with you Sun on the Taurus/Gemini cusp you're probably used to your life being complicated :D

Wow...Thanks Doc.
Yeah..my life has NEVER been easy. LOL. Did what you read give any more detail about those Karmic Lessons? Besides that they are Urgent? What would you think that would mean?
The Yahoo thing said that my saturn was also in Gemini. And that Gemini, being the planet of communication, that that is where all of my Karmic lessons would be most strongly felt, in the way that I communicate with others.
I'm also thinking that since Gemini Has such a ..ummm..."flirtatious" personality..or..some would even say, Fickle., that maybe the whole relationship thing might teach me alot karmically...ummmm..as in maybe an unfaithful lover? (not me, but the lover..lol).
Do you think the Urgency could be implying something with my health, and wellbeing?

Oh...and would it be fair to say, that Scorpio, might fit into that thing about infidelity i mentioned? Being that scorpio is secretive? and sexual?
as for sagg..you lost me there. What are your ideas?

This is mine, btw.
"Success at any price seems to be your motto. The price you usually pay is never being able to relax and enjoy life. Your nose is always to the grindstone -- and amazingly, it seems that you do it all to benefit others. Because you are so persistent you usually achieve your goals and find yourself in positions of authority. But shouldn't you examine the cost? If you want to ever evolve you might try answering this question -- OWhy am I working so hard all the time?O Your family and friends have probably been asking you this for so long it no long registers. And you might have pushed the answer so far down because the truth just might blow your entire do-gooder image. The answer is fear -- that's right , your need to control your environment so it never gets a chance to control you. You might want to explore your relationship with your mother as well. Who you are isn't bad -- in fact you can make wonderful things happen. You should just be honest with yourself about the motivation."

Hmmm... Scorpio and Sagg together could certainly point to infidelity.
Your chart is really interesting, I should probably actually cast it so I can see all the relationships... But among other things, your sun is in exact opposition to your north node - that adds even more energy to the karmic thing.
Let me actually look at the chart and get back to you.

Scorpio and Sag points to infidelity? I know Scorpio is a highly sexual sign but they're also fiercely loyal...unless they've been betrayed first. I know quite a few Scorps.
But as far as the nodes go, their original idea /was/ linked to reincarnation, which many astrologers, myself included, do hold a belief in.

Trying to find in others what is lacking in yourself often results in pain and disappointment. Somehow you always seem to end up with a partner who doesn't quite understand you, who limits and hinders you. The partner you choose may also be somewhat older or have a conservative outlook on life. As a result you may move from one bad relationship to the next, or stay in one relationship and take the role of martyr -- never realizing your true motivation. If you come to terms with the fact that you may not want to fully connect with another -- out of your own fear of intimacy -- there is potential for growth and understanding that you have the capacity of fulfillment within yourself. Your relationship can be source of suffering or of personal growth -- the decision is yours.

Yes, that's the point. Scorpio brings in the sexuality and Sag bring in a lack of loyalty, more-or-less.
Also, keep in mind that loyalty works both ways. A Scorpio with an unfaithful spouse is not going to exhibit much loyalty - it becomes much more like revenge.

Would just like to defend myself here..lol..before anyone jumps to any conclusions about me...
No matter WHAT could possibly happen in my marriage, I wouldn't cheat..even for revenge. To me, the best revenge one could dole out when cheated on, is leaving the person to their own karma :)
