Could anyone help me with dietys of dreams? I have been doing some research and found that Morpheus was deemed the god of dreams by roman and greek religion. Does anyone have any information as to where I might find specifics as the goddess of dreams or alternate dream gods?
Thanks for your help! :-)

In ancient Greek religion, Hermes was the God of sleep and dreams. It was thought that he brought sleep to people by touching them with his caduceus.

The Celtic myths has a goddess who brings dreams. Her name is Franconian-Die-Drud. I didn't know that Hermes was associated with dreams. I know that the main god for sleep in the Greek pantheon is Hypnos. The Romans thought that Somnus brought them sleep. My friend just told me a story about Somnus. She told me that she envisioned Somnus tapping her with a wand before she dozed off.

When I was younger and dozed off during a lecture in a Hindu-temple, someone told me that Nidra Devi had come to visit me. The noun Nidra in Sanskrit means "sleep".
