Litha, in wishing Dragonmom happy birthday you mentioned:
"now that Saturn is leaving Taurus, many of us will feel the restriction placed on money making start to lift...interesting to see how this may effect the economy and stock market, not to mention you're own personal business."

I just wanted to add that by mid-year (if not earlier),
we will begin to see undeniable signs of success bubbling up in our Taurian houses.
Pressures having to do with that house will evaporate as soon as Saturn lumbers out of this stubborn, fixed sign on April 20, 2001.

Saturn always brings rewards, when its tour of duty is over.

Saturn enters Gemini April 21st!

kewl, yes, I've been tracking Saturn's movements for a while now as he is the ruler of my Chart.

Saturn will be moving out of my 5th house in June and out of my beau's 6th in May...I have a feeling that what occurs as Saturn's gift is a fab work contract for him that keeps him in the NE, which of course helps me with my own 5th house issues :)

I know that when Saturn moved out of my 4th and his 5th at the end of Feb last year, we decided to take the relationship to another level by cohabitating. One can readily see the 4th/5th house implications of that!

Merry Merry ,
Saturn moving into Gemini will be interesting. We will be seeing new, serious, and possibly increased structure in the field of communication, both on personal levels and global. This could mean having to deal with more laws and strictures imposed on the internet, as we saw with the Napster suits. Saturn deepens some of the superficiality of Gemini, and gives increased concentration and seriousness. Gemini is an air sign, so will this mean we will get serious about getting our air cleaned up on this planet and closing the hole in the ozone layer? Also will we utilise inventions (Gemini's are SO inventive, classic of air signs) to bring our use of the planets resouces within LIMITS? :> limit setting being Saturns forte . Saturn in Gemini will have some of the flavor of considering new ideas more carefully as well, instead of rushing ahead with something because it is new, we can take the time to consider the impact before we actually bring an idea to reality as has been done so often in the past.
On a personal level, Saturn is the "Old man" "father time" and "death which brings rebirth " and Gemini is the epitome of the eternal butterfly, so the combination may be fraught with some difficulty as well , frustration is the word that comes to mind, for those oh so fluid mercurial people, who might just have to slow down long enough to take a look around and decide about some life cicumstances that affect them deeply, as in whether to stay or move on from relationships , jobs,or other situations that require commitments. I have Uranus in Gemini in the fifth, so it ocurs to me that while I am currently blessed with what seems to be unlimited creative
stimulation, I might have to "get serious" about structuring my work and putting it in a framework available;
all those task oriented things that Gemini likes to leave to others :>. Ahhhhh well it wil lbe a labor of LOVE
:) Love and Light

MM SwanSpirit, happy to have you onboard!
Saturn, the planet of lessons, moves into the sign of Gemini on April 20th, after being in Taurus since June of 1998. Saturn challenges us to establish a correct set of values and to properly assess whatever it is that we are doing or accumulating; Taurus rules money and possessions. Much of what has been going on in the stock market during this time period has had to do with Saturn's demand for proof of what is really tangible.

Now that Saturn will be moving into Gemini on April 20th, its influence will shift toward communication issues, as SwanSpirit points out. Saturn will bring a sense of responsibility and consequences to the information age. It will demand more substance in regard to all forms of communications. The challenge is to become acutely attuned to the power of words and how we use language; conversations may become less superficial.
However, make efforts to stay lighthearted and optimistic, since Saturn's influence tends to be a little serious and restrictive.
