Our schools here started on July 31st...

I breathed a sigh of relief (I love 'em, but too much of a good thing.....) and actually put the TV on something other than Spongebob and Drake & Josh..

Actually got some work done!

I'll still have my 4 yr.old here at home...but I definately will be enjoying the lack of screaming and yelling at each other. It will be soooo nice, lol.Trips to the park, nature center,stores...and not a single yelp of;"I'm bored....this is for babies.I want to go home".Ahhhhhhhh :steppy:

ETA: The first day,hmmm...maybe my youngest and I will head over to the library or book store and read a bit there, get a book and head on home.Without having to hurry.

Well, my baby brother will be starting kindergarten on August 21st (him and his little sister sort of adopted me as their big sister...we're not really related) so I'm gonna be depressed =(

But then on September 5th, I'm going to be starting high school. GAH! I can't wait. But I know after the first week I'm gonna be like "WHAT?! This is IT?!?!?!?!"

CRY!:wah2:
I always hate the first day of school. This year will be very hard because my oldest starts college and my youngest is a senior! My days of watching them get on the school bus and waiting for them to come home are gone! Where did the time go?????
I always bake cookies for my girls on the first day of school. I will still do that this year too, only I will be doing it twice as college classes start before regular school.

I have three children. The little one will still be home with me she's two. One child will be in Ele. School and the other will be at the High School this year.

It's funny because some of the teachers I had in school and they look at me saying, "That can't be!" There amazed at how my children are in their class and I wanted5 years after High School before having my first child.

It's a bit of mixed feelings as always. Your glad to have the silence and no fighting but always it's them doing new things on their own. High School for the oldest, totally different. And my other wee one will be in 3rd grade this year. No sister in the same school any more she's on her own! The wee little one will not know what to do with herself with the girls gone all day but yet I
feel she'll see her schedule more relaxed now.

I'm going to enjoy the quiet time and sit down for some one on one with the little one.

Bake coffeecake or cinnamon rolls for their breakfast

read, sleep, release some of the guilt I've felt all summer

I'll probably bake cookies that first day too. It's going to be tougher to synchronize this year, because the kids will get home about 2 hours apart. :awilly:

On the first day back to school I'll be...... going to school. :D I'm going back to college to get a second degree. My first B.S. is in Communications, with a PR concentration. My next one will be in English, with a concentration in secondary school education. I'm going to become a high school English teacher.

Monday was my kids first day back. What I did was sighed a big sigh of relief..blessed them on their way out the door and watched for the bus to pick them up so I knew when they are coming in the mornings.
I thought things would be easier around the house with the two older ones in school and just having my son home. But, I find that he is just as bad as having all three of them home. lol He will be 3 on Sunday, so I'm hoping that explains the wildness and the gotta have things RIGHT NOW!! It was like that with my daughters, but he is so much different than they were.
I have spent the majority of the week deep cleaning my house for his b-day party this weekend. And I have to say, that in itself makes having the girls in school again worth everything. I can keep the house clean after he runs through. With all three running through, my home looks like a tornado hits it.

Although I do not have children personally, I have many friends that do. One friend in particular has 2 teenage boys and we are planning on going out for a celebration of their first day back. Shopping, and have lunch out doing things that she can't do while the boys are home. It will be so much fun, I can't wait.

My son starts kindergarten this Friday. I'm looking forward to it but scared at the same time(if that makes any sense). The first thing I'm wanting to do is clean up his room really well. Go through his toys and weed 'em out while he's not around. Next week, I have a lunch date planned with one of the instructors from the community college that I'm friends with. Might have another lunch date with a friend from high school. I get to have adult conversations and go have lunch with adults that don't require me to go to Burger King.
