Konnichi Wa to All:

Since the Number 3 is a Sacred Number to all Celtic Pagans and Druids, I have taken 3 Forms of Deity to hold as Sacred.

First, since it is the Most Powerfull and Life on Earth would not exist at all without it, is the Sun! In my Honest Opinion, the Ancient Pharoah Akanaten's Theological Opinion that the Sun is the Most Important Deity to be Worshipped was Perfectly Correct. It is mainly because of the Worship of the Sun that all Pagans and Druids Celebrate the Solstices, Equinoxes, as well as Samhain, Imbolc, Beltane and Lughnasad.

Second is my Patron Deity on Earth, and that is my Hiroshim A-Bomb Survivor Eucalyptus Tree. In previous postings, I have already made it well known that I hold this Tree in Reverance since it was able to Survive an Atomic Bomb Explosion at Point Blank Range.

And Third is Basteth, the Egyptian Goddess of all Feline Familiars. That is due to the fact that I have a Feline Familiar TwoWhiteSocks, and she Loves me as much as I Love her. She especially is Very Affectionate to me after taking such good care of her after she Broke Her Leg a Month ago.

So long as I have my 3 Favorite Patron Deities, I have Good Spiritual Balance in Life, and I will always have Peace in my Heart, which I like Sharing with others through my 3 Favorite Nature Worshipping Message Board: BowlandCentral.com, MysticWicks.com and (Blank at the moment).

Hi KiNoRonin - I am just a little confused by two things in your post. Firstly, you cited that since all Celtic/Druidic peoples hold the number 3 sacred, you have taken 3 patron deities. To me, that implied that you consider yourself to be a Celtic/Druidic person and hence that was what led you to this choice, but the three forms of deity you hold are not Celtic. Am I misunderstanding this somehow? That just really threw me for a loop, that was all. How do you make a connection between the two?

Secondly, you are saying this Eucalyptus tree is a deity itself? Or that you just see deity in its tenacity and will to live despite the odds of nuclear bombing and contamination?

Or that you just see deity in its tenacity and will to live despite the odds of nuclear bombing and contamination?

That One.

And my Sellection of my Personal Patron Deities is based on what I find to be Comfortable for Me.

I however, have paid respects to all the Gods of various Panthenons. For instance, we all just finished Celebrating Lughnasadh, which is named after the Celtic God Lugh who represents the Strength and Energies of the Summertime.

Okay, that makes sense, fair enough.

Still have a question about the Celtic 3 thing, though. Did you just choose that arbitrarily (eg, you like the number three and the Celtic reverence for a triad grouping validated that for you) or is there a deeper connection to the Celtic element that I'm just not seeing? Or did you just have three ways of seeing deity in your life and so the triad made sense to you?

Sorry for all the questions....I'm genuinely confused / curious.

The Celtic Pagan that the Number Three is a Sacred Number is also used by the Budhists, and I believe the Hindus.

All my Life, before I discovered my Sacred Eucalyptus Tree, whenever I composed a Letter or some sort of Correspondence, and in that Letter, if there was a point that I wanted to make, I would always come up with at least Three Points or Reasons to back up my Statement.

When I got hold of my First Druidistic Book after getting back from Japan in June of 2000, I discovered that the Number Three is Sacred and I also discovered that Ancient Celts used to Compose Triads of Wisdom in order to back up whatever Issue they were addressing.

So Triads of Wisdom seems comfortable to me.

The Nice thing about Worshipping the Sun is that the Sun does not care how you Worship it or even if you do Worship it.

Sun has no Attitude about things. It neither Hates, Loves, or Cares about what we all do or do not do.

It just Shines and provides us with the Necessary Energies to Exist. What we do with that Existances is totally up to us.

For instance, one of our Past Existances dedicated itself to building The Stonehenge.

KNR,

I hope perhaps this close-up picture of the Eucalyptus survivor tree will add to your enjoyment. The photographer grants full permission for anyone to use this photo for any reason:

I just received a bilingual guide of some Shinto terms and I came across this term:

Shinboku:
Tree venerated as the abode of the kami.

I checked other references and 'shin' in this context means 'core' or 'integrity' and boku means wood...and it seems to me, many of your posts reflect the essential metaphor or spirit of the living wood of the eucalyptus survivor tree in a good way.

I hope to enjoy more posts by you on this board. Maybe the picture close-up also will give you a bit of a smile...

Best regards,
