This is from a mailing list of mine, the author is Hazel-Kate. I thought this was a great little excerpt - especially since I work with Frigga....or rather, She works with me, lol.
We don't choose, of course, but are chosen. If you've gone toward a
God or Goddess, it's because you feel their call in your spirit. Or at least, this is what I believe from what has happened to me. I didn't go toward Frigga, but toward Skathi -- felt akin to her, woman who loved the mountains.
But if you are following Frigga, you will find your hands filled with work, more than your neck adorned with jewels.
You'll find you have a desire to tend the fire for loved ones, rather than be
attended by others.
You'll find that you turn your attention on yourself only to see in what ways you have grown and in what you are still needing work.
You find yourself giving what you know, but not ALL you know.
You find yourself interested in your home and the ability to make it a place of magic.
You find yourself wanting to include a circle of others who also turn their hands to the work, but also to go into the "marsh" alone for spirit-work.
You find that you want to learn many skills as these are keys to the
kingdom, some of these you will master.
You find that you have a reverence for the Good God, but that your reverence is tinged with a smile of recognition at his more human traits.
You'll find that you like orderliness and your house will take on a more orderly
look after a while.
You'll find that you want to open many other doorways and you want to contact the mysteries that lay hidden in Fulla's box.
You'll find that you are interested in Lore, as you are interested in what
has been woven through time.
You'll find that you also look to the patterns being woven in new colors as the new day dawns.
In what other ways, have you come to know Frigga -- and yourself as
Her follower.
