Hey Guys,
just wondering what your thoughts are on this one.
I'm wanting to go into Botany...but not too sure where to go. I'm in ontario now...and the university i'm REALLY looking to go to is University of British Columbia. It looks as though they have an AMAZING program that really has me interested...
could I get your two cents?

Heh! Well, I'm biased! UBC is right in my neck of the woods! We also have Dominion Herbal College here too.

Not to mention that the West Coast can be really beautiful...even in the rain.

They both sound REALLY interesting. I know that I want to go away for university...and BC sounds amazing, and sooooo beautiful. I'd absolutely LOVE to be able to attend uni there. *sigh*

I've heard that both UBC and Simon Fraser have pretty good programs. As well, the smaller colleges have herbalist programs too now. I've been considering the one offered at Douglas college but can't make the time committment at this point in my life. Maybe when I retire, I'll go back to school! :D

I'm going back to school next fall.....

I've been debating over schools as week, I was even thinking of going to B.C :) However I'd decided to stay here in Alberta.

Adia ~ B.C is a beautiful place. You'll love it there.

Yeah, us BC people are going to be biased. :p Cuz it is loverly here!! (Just look at my snow thread  )

But with the way the government is going right now (WildChild, do you know if they changed the tuition freeze??) tuition prices might be going up. :( Bleh... That's the only negative thing I have to say. :)

As the days pass it looks like I am going to have to retrain since my car accident at his cost so I am also looking into new things I would love doing as much as I do now ~ hmmm ~ I wonder if there are any herbalist classes here ~ I have not really sat down and thought about it cuz it makes me cry that I might have to give up something I love SOOOO much cuz some jerk driving a 5 ton meat delivery truck was not pay attention ~ might look into running my own little place and such ~ I am also on a waiting list to be a legal minister for " other type " ceremonies so people can get what they want and have it be legal too ~ not sure where I will end up just as long as I am happy in what I do next is all that matter ......

I haven't heard if tuition has gone up already but I know they're talking about lifting the freeze right now. With the way this Liberal government is going, it wouldn't surprise me at all!  I'm so glad I didn't vote for them!! Blah!

Wildrose Herbal College is in Alberta somewhere. I know a friend of mine had looked into going there but decided to stay in BC instead.

I found out that Grant MacEwan in Edmonton has a 2 year degree for a Holistic Health Practioner ~ at a cost of about 13,000. I am ging to look in to this ~ I do not think that since my wreck last Oct I will be able to return to work as an Elderly care worker ~ so this is the closest thing I can find that would give me the same general area of work as well as the same level of self respect I get from what I do now ~ the only change is I do not have the heavy labour part of it ~ and it is also something I can run outta my home ~ Open up my oen little studio in my home ~ This is most likely my next step ~ for my info please visit the link ...
