Sounds like a little reversal going on.
People let their cats outside which in turn prey on the local wildlife like songbirds.
Now, the local wildlife is preying back.
So keep the cats inside, simple. Then all will live without worrying about the other and humans can refrain from mass coon killings! :)

Sounds right to me. We had problems like that when I was a kid(but out in the country) where 1 yes 1 killed 4 of my ducks and geese.

I feel the same way. If you're going to have animals, keep them indoors where they're safe.
