My Ex Boyfriend suffered a rare form of lymphatic cancer. It is a recurrent form. So far, every time, he's been able to beat it with surgery and chemotherapy, and herbs, combined.
I would personally, never reccomend that anyone with Cancer stick to a "Purely" herbal regimen...since I really believe a person needs to make a serious, well thought out, decision about things like this.
However, this exboyfriend of mine, claimes that at one point, when the cancer showed up, he beat it with JUST surgery, and herbs. What he used, was a mixture of Red Clover and I believe...Yew (I'm NOT sure on that, so please research it..). Red Clover is a very popular cancer fighting herb. Also, I've heard of people using Apples and Carrots, two anticarcinogenic natural foods to help.
There is also a Tea which is on the market in healthfood and holistic stores. It was reccomended by a famous herbalist to me, for a friend of mine who was battling Colon Cancer. The tea is called "Flor Essence". Supposedly, it's some sort of wonder herbal tea. Been around for a long time, and even President Kennedy used it. It's an immuno support tea. And if you are going to undergo chemo, you WILL need some additional immuno support.
Flor-Essence contains Organic Burdock Root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm Bark, Watercress herb, Turkish Rhubarb Root, Kelp, Organic Blessed Thistle Herb, Red Clover Blossom.
It is used for Detoxification, Immune Support, and Antioxident.
My friend who had the colon cancer, had the section of his colon removed which contained the cancer, and received some chemo therapy, and thankfully, the cancer had not spread..and he recovered very quickly :)
As I said..i'm really not sure about Leukemia and Cancers of the blood. I would really get the advice of a registered herbalist, and I would also contact the Cancer Treatment Centers of America. They seem to offer some services for alternative cancer treatment.
Good Luck.

I've heard that people have reversed the effects of cancer through a 'Macrobiotic' diet. I went macrobiotic when I was around twenty. I had a possible cancer scare on a "female organ" and went macro. Two visits later there was no sign of it at all. I have since quit the diet. It can be a difficult diet to stick to, but I've heard wonderful things about it. To do it, you have to be very strict with yourself. Cheating on this type of diet cancels out any efforts made. You could try doing a search on google.com or something if you're interested.

I had Hodgkins Disease (a type of lymphoma) 5 years ago, and researched possible natural treatments at that time. I didn't find anything that I felt had enough scientific evidence proving it worked. Although things may have changed since. I know I desperately wanted to find another way to treat it other than chemo.
Since my cancer was very advanced at the time it was diagnosed, and my hemotologist only gave me a 30% chance, I went ahead and had chemo to treat it. And have been in remission since.
I agree with Danus, contact Cancer Treatment Centers of American, they seem to be the most respected group that embraces a whole person treatment.
Good Luck

Essiac tea is marketed under the same name. It's trademarked & maybe the other one is similar but can't use the trademarked name. I've seen Flor Essense advertised for cancer as well.
There is a book called "Plants Used Against Cancer" by Jonathan Hartwell. It lists about 3000 different plants that have been used in folklore medicine to fight cancer. You might be interested in that book.

My thoughts are with you too Hope.
I rave about the healing power of Lavender essential oil so maybe taking baths and massaging this oil into the skin all over with a base carrier oil will help too as its commonly known to help build a strong immune system, relax and aid sleep and restfullness.
Also try looking for a Rhodocrisite Crystal in your local pagan shop amnd asking about it as its great for physical and emoitonal healing and is linked with cancer healing and cleansing all toxins.
Love, light and energy for you

I read that they are using an artemesia (wormwood) extract to treat cancer successfully. They give you iron pills and the extract kills all the cancer cells because of their higher iron content leaving healthy cells unharmed. Ask a doc about it but don't try it on your own. Wormwood's hallucinogenic!
