Thank you, Yvonne. When I get under the care of a specialist, again, I think i'll ask them to test me.
However, I already do use some steroid based inhalers.
One thing, I think might help people suffering this problem, is to get a peak flow meter. It's a meter which tests how much breath you are getting. I used to have one as a kid, but don't anymore. I used to have to take the test three times a day. If my average went down, I had to use a special inhaler. It worked wonders to be able to know that you were in danger, before it got out of hand.

The four year old and I are on them too. That's why my friend sent it to me and I was actually thinking of you when I posted it but I figured others needed it to so I put it here.:)
