One of the things that I have been doing on the site, is creating a FAQ of the most common topics in the New Pagans forum. As I was about to start updating it again, I thought; "Hey, why don't we do this for the whole site?" Mol told me that we would be doing something like that, and that the forum guides were going to be working on it too. So once you start seeing them appear, please take a few minutes to check them out, and notify us (In the appropriate thread.) if you think something should be added.
In the mean time, the New Pagans FAQ can be found here: http://www.mysticwicks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=155
Any questions, comments or ideas regarding this?

faq for all the folders, cool idea.
are you thinking about having a link area for general info, example for the h&b area. have a post with links reguarding things like cancer, hiv/aids, std, pms, pmdd, dyslexia, genral holistic help, webmd information.
or is it somthing differnt that you are thinking

Actually the links would be on the most common topics in a forum, listing them, since we actually have a pretty high rate of new threads being created on topics that have been discussed repeatedly.

ill have to agree with that,
however there have been times when i have started threads about some of these topics and had pretty much no responce, they were being read though. so i think that whats been happening is that they want the info, they take it but dont comment cause its usualy on sensitive topics that they might not want to discuss in an open forum.

What about links to creating your own BOS? I think its a fairly common question...

LMAO!!!! I agree with that thought!!
As for critter chat, I don't see how it needs a FAQ area. Its a pretty self defined area that just goes with poster helping poster and everyone sharing.
We already have stickys for anything that's more needed in the way of important info. Rainbow bridge, aniomal abuse info and etc.
If anybody does have other important info to share thats handy for all, we will just sticky it.

Well, for PP it should probably be a list of links to common topics and external sites and a few warnings about how heated things can get, and that people shouldn't take things personally and so forth. Maybe some FAQs about political parties, ideologies, how things work, etc.
There is plenty of things that could be included. Although, it would really help if mol appointed a new forum guide because it is just me since Asa has been banned.
Quite a few other forums need new guides, it seems. _inabox_

This needs to be put in MW Announcements and stickied.

(Bit off topic )
Could we have a Forum Guide Faq as to what our jobs are so people know what it is. And we can direct people who have gripes about us know where to go and read..
Also there was talk about a COT FAQ too, I would appreciate that in the COT forum becuase I simply get annoyed having to direct or repost the same thing over and over again about what the COT is and how to use it...
OP: Laisrean

A Forum Guide FAQ would be helpful...that's along the times of what I was thinking of in the other, now closed thread that I mentioned more Admin to Guide communication would be a good thing.
I have a feeling some Guides don't really know what they're supose to be doing. I asked Mithrea about our jobs when she was here, but well she's not here anymore.
Also I don't know if this pretains to your FAQ, Kaylara, but if it's possible can you add the The Gods and Goddesses Resource and Link thread (http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?t=113087) to the Gods and Goddesses topic areas of the FAQ?
Basically the thread is there in the G&Gs as a sticky. It catalogs all the threads in G&Gs by Pantheon and Deity. I don't know if you've seen it or not.
I created it to make searching for deity related topics easier.
Want to know about Isis? Just look there and there are tons of threads listed.
People can go there to read and find into and to simply cut and paste the threads listed for people wanting to know about say Isis.
Note: I only list threads in G&Gs. It'd take way too much time to do all threads about the gods scattered around in other areas.

Ya I lost the pm she sent me with everything in it. But since then in there have problems since then that need to be addressed that I know was not apart of that list. So hopfully doing this FAQ will help.
