I don't need any help myself, I'm doing OK, better than OK probably. But my mom has a lot of health issues right now and I'm really scared. She has MS and is a diabetic.
My dad retired a year ago and she didn't have health insurance until this month so she hasn't been to the Dr. nearly as much as she should have. She went yesterday and they found that her blood sugar is 300 (its supossed to be something like 120) and even insulin shots do nothing to lower it. She also has two lumps in her breast and has to have a biopsy. She's scared to death but she tries to be strong so as not to worry any of us.
She is a really good mom, she never thinks of herself and she tries to hide her pain so we won't worry about her. She can barely walk two feet because her hip is so screwed up. I just wish I could make her feel better. I feel like there's nothing I can do except pretend like everything will be OK and be strong for her. Any good thoughts you can send her way would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all,
