Well Met!
Just thought I'd pop in to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Rævyn (but everyone calls me Rae) and I am an Avalonian witch (if you don't know what that is, do not hestitate to ask!), solitarily practising in a little town not too far from Ottawa, Ontario. I am a married mother of three children, and one of only three pagans in my family, the rest being strict Roman Catholic. I manage a few MSN communities, and they take up a lot of my online time, but I love to chat and I love meeting new people!
Blessings to all!
Rae

This is a great Community of people who share love and light. The lemonade is endless and the love goes even deeper then the piture.
Welcome, sister of the Goddess. Know now that family, and a Community has spoken - we are one and you are welcome.
Here, we cry, share, tell jokes and fiddle around. But we are united.
Epelo, and Blessings too you and yours,
RnR

Tanna, you are too cute. Stop it. "Puddle-People" OMG.
You have become mush and must be banished to a weekend in So. CA for a BBQ. We shall discuss Puddles there!!

Hi there!
Wow, I didn't expect so many replies so soon...now I have to think of what to say in short order! lol!
Well, Moonmagick, in answer to your question, it's terribly difficult to tell you exactly what the Avalonian tradition is, so I'll tell you what I think it is: it is a combination of the Druid teachings and the teachings of the people who were thought to reside in Avalon (read The Mists of Avalon...it'll give you a good basis for reference). I have only just chosen my path (for the first little while I was strictly ecclectic), and with admittance to the Sisterhood of Avalon next month, I am sure I will be better equipped to fully explain this elusive tradition.
And in answer to your question, Mystique, I am the great-granddaughter of a Rom Gypsy, so a small part of me is Hungarian, yes. I chose that as part of my magickal name for that express purpose.
Looking forward to hearing more from all of you! Thank you so much for your warm welcomes! Please feel free to visit my small community...it is my "baby"

Go to your profile page (click on Profile) and then go to Edit Options ... if you use your own it has to be a certain size ... I think no larger than 65x65 ...

i've visited rea's site and joined there too, she's got some quite good things going there, and in her "tavern" she's got as cheerfully rowdy a sense of humour as any of us. she'll fit in nicely here and we can enjoy her site too. not "competitors" but neighbors.
