Diety question

How does one know which diety they should be working with? I am a little confused on the subject and am not sure how to go about finding one. Do they just come to you during meditation? Do you choose your own? Please Help!!! Thank you, I feel a little better after the scream.. *;)

You study, learn, and research, and one might make itself known through dream, meditation, or other clues. You can pick your own to learn from for a time but I don't think of that as your matron/patron but a deity you study/learn from for that time.

If you start doing some research and find out about various deities that interest you one might make itself known (because then you've opened yourself up to it).
