With its 33 year record of annual gatherings, UEA is unequivocally, a legitimate "historical' pagan event. It is the oldest ongoing open pagan festival.
A history that was made and shared by many - by very many. Over the past 33 years the attendance and support of UEA has been as diverse as the venues it has visited. No one story or perspective of its history could truly tell the tale. Such a tall task will require the same lifeblood that has kept UEA alive all these years - the participation of all who shared in the dream and the experience.

You can see the schedule of workshops and rituals posted there. Special guest this year is Kristen Madden, author, teacher, homeschooling mom, and wildlife rehabilitator. Kristin will lead us in an incredible weekend of journey and discovery with the following interactive workshops:

The Shamanic Otherworlds
The shamanic journey has been used for millennia throughout the world to gain healing and knowledge for the betterment of the individual and the community. The journey is distinguished from other trance states by the belief that the spirit leaves the physical body
and travels about this reality and others, the Shamanic Otherworlds. This ancient technique is still used by modern people to gain self-
knowledge, insight into problems, healing, and more. In this experiential workshop, you will learn to use this technique to connect with your Higher Self and your personal spirit guides.
Through drumming-induced journeys and personal journaling, you will develop your abilities to safely and effectively navigate these spirit paths to connect with spirit guides, obtain healing, and acquire valuable information. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a pen and paper.
It is recommended that you take this workshop before taking Illuminating the Shadow Side or Deathwalking.

Illuminating The Shadow Side
That place within each of us where we hide our fears, patterns, limitations, and anything that we do not want other people to see. When denied and repressed, shadow aspects can gain control of our lives, dreams, and spiritual work, often appearing to be external forces over which we have no control. In working with the Shadow, we become empowered and whole, with an increased capacity for clarity, creation, healing, and protection.
Through hands-on exercises, visualization, and shamanic journeying, participants will learn to move safely through the darkness and bring light, understanding, and strength into their own Shadows. Expect to leave this workshop with greater insight into yourself and your life experience along with a renewed ability to create a preferred reality. Please bring a pen and paper.

Deathwalking
Throughout time and across the globe, communities have looked to their shamans to assist the dead in their journeys to the next world and to bring healing and guidance to those remaining in this world. Modern deathwalkers continue to serve the dying, the living, and the
departed in a great many ways, including the deathwalk, or psychopompic journey. Join Kristin for a look at this unique shamanic journey, as she describes the myriad ways modern deathwalkers work with the dying, their loved ones, and the departed in this reality and
others. Expect to explore your own beliefs and feelings, share your experiences if you choose, consider creating a conscious death for yourself, and gain insight into the unlimited realms beyond physical reality. Please bring a pen and paper.

Plus there are rituals planned, etc.(ya get to meet Rick & I, too. I'm sure there may be other MWers there, as well.)

See ya there
