Just wondering how y'all plan to celebrate or decorate for Mabon this year.

I'm going through a year or two of experimenting with urban magic, so I'm going to perform my Mabon ritual in Loring Park (a fairly well-known place in Minneapolis). The idea is to honor the cycle of death through its urban connections in history (divine kings were often the result of city states, for instance).

My rituals always celebrate the seasons, I don't follow any particular mythology to represent the passage of time. For Mabon, my group is having a potluck dinner at my house, with seasonal dishes. We are each putting out a little plate w/food to honor a specific god in our life, with toasting and whatnot. Afterward, we're going to do some balancing energy work via a guided meditation. We're also all gathering things to donate to a social services facility - clothes, canned food, blankets, etc.

I'm celebrating Mabon for the first time this year with a group of Pagans from my university club. We'll be having a pot luck and ritual at a park. I'm very excited. It will be my first group ritual.
