Hi everybody, I'm new here, I've been interested in paganism for about two years now, but only for half a year I'm trying to do something with this inerest. I am a Wiccan, brought up in a catholic home, so it wasn't easy for me to make up my mind and break with Christianity (I suppose most of pagans had similar problemes). Especially in Poland, where I live it is very difficult to state your beliefs freely and worship the way you would like. Everybody thinks you're a devil worshipper. Sounds familiar? I hope I'll learn something here and will be able to share my views with people of the same mind.
(Forgive me if I make any language mistakes, I'm a student of English and as a future teacher I should pay special attention to them. You are of course welcome to correct any mistakes you spot

why welcome to mysticwicks!!!! You will absolutely love it here.....I have learned many things here and I know you will too. Keep your head up, I was brought up in a Presbyterian household and it has been difficult for me to tell my family about my choice of religion. Everything will work out in the end!!!

MM I am new here also and was surprised to find someone already had my chosen name. You are the only one i have ever seen use this name and i was interested as to how you got it. I got it from a book i was thinking of reading when i first started out and as i was just scanning through the pages the name Emaleth stood out like it was in bold print and it stuck in my head of course when i looked again and read the bood it wasnt in bold so i took that as a sign anyway nice to meet you

Hi Sister! Lol, I didn't see it and replied to the other post :) I've took the name from Anne Rice's book, I liked it, but it isn't my craft name, just a nickname. I was thinking though about adding "the Nighttime Bird" because it really stirrs my imagination and just sounds great to me. I actually wish I had chosen this name from the very beginning, but now I don't want to make people confused by a sudden change of personality.

you are right about that we must be sisters of some kind to pick that one particular name lol. I already answered the other post before i saw this one. I like the nightime bird addition it has a ring to it doesnt it. if you are anything like me you feel a special affinity with the night. I love the night i would rather sleep during the day and be up and about at night, just something magical about it to me especially when there are winds blowing and the moon is full there is nothing like it well except a good night time storm. The name isnt my craft name either but most of my emails and net names are emaleth save one that is morrigan wonder where that one came from too lol.. well i must be in a blabbering kind of mood cause i sure dont know why i just wrote all that lol... so it is really nice to meet you....

Hi emaleth33!
You're right, I love the night, but the day also is something extraordinary. I like any time of day or night and any weather... only if the bad one doesn't last too long :) I think this is part of the Pagan nature, ability to find beauty in everything and everyone.
As for the name "morrigan", I know it's the name of the Celtic goddes of war (I think), but it actually also appears in Anne Rice's book, "The Taltos". It's the third part of the Mayfair witches series. Isn't that strange?

Tee hee... :) Isn't it strange sharing the same name with someone else??? I've never had that happen before (me and my oddball names...although Flar's is pretty close..:p)
Anyway..I'm just babbling. :p
