Just a thought.
It seems that lemonade has become synonymous with friendship and sharing.
What a great thing.

It has for a long time people used to offer it when people were visiting. I think it's nice to see it back.

Lemonade is just so refreshing. Just like you and the others sitting on the porch. :)

When I was in the 5th grade, we sang a song about lemonade in chrous... :) It went something like:
"When life gives you lemons. *clap* make lemonade" It was a really great song. Kinda makes me think about the whole lemonade thing here. Just thought I'd share!
I think that it's a nice thing to offer each other. (Although sometimes I wonder if the lemonade is spiked! :)) And I think it really surprises people who are new, that they are greeted so nicely!

I have liked lemonade since childhood but never really thought of it as a friendship thing until now!!
With growing up in a family with a southern MOM it seemed like it was always ready for any guest.
But now it has a new meaning and does bring friendship to mind and one very special person !!

Lemonade is great stuff. And you don't have to do a lot of mixing to make it, just cut some lemons, add ice and water (and whatever else ;)) and VIOLA! It's like iced tea, if you need sugar, add it, if you don't need sugar then dont worry. Also, you can use the same lemons for several glasses, it just sort of steeps. :)
As far as Leomonade and friendship goes, that goes without saying. It's just a nice refreshing drink that goes with almost anything and I have also found that it can bridge many gaps and just make people comfortable. Call it the "House Wine"

never quite really thought about it but yes, most of my life "come on in, would you like a glass of lemonade" on a hot summer's day has been a mark of friendly caring.

(and yes, homemade is the very best!)

And the lemonade here doesn't make you have to pee every half-hour.
Good stuff. I'll have another.
