Tarot readings offered

Hello. :)

I am offering readings to anyone willing to be part of an experiment I'm conducting.

I've recently started using a Tarot software program called Orphalese Tarot. See my post about it here:

It works pretty much like a traditional Tarot reading except that the program shuffles and deals the cards on my laptop screen. The reading part and interpretation of the cards is still up to me. :)

I've mainly been using it to read for myself so far and it's been working pretty well, surpisingly so. I would like a chance to test its accuracy when reading for other people, especially over the Net. If you're willing to be my guinea pig, please post here or PM me if you like.

Like I said, it's basically the same as reading with actual physical cards. So all I'll need is your question and, if you're comfortable with sharing that info, your real name and age.

A little about me: My name is Mary and I've been reading Tarot since I was about 10 years old. My reading style is very intuitive. This method of reading is very new to me, though. I would apreciate some feedback on the readings, especially if you think I'm way off. :lol:

Okay, here's an update on the experiment I've been conducting. :)

I've been using the software for the last two months to read for people both online and IRL. Thank you to all those who have kindly given me feedback here on MW.

I must say I am extremely surprised with how well this has gone. I was sure that I would see a clear difference in my readings using this software instead of the actual cards. It turns out, there is no difference at all. My readings have the same level of accuracy whether I use the Orpahlese software or "real" cards. My intuition kicked in in the same manner and the vast majority of my querents were very pleased with the readings.

It's quite amazing to me, as I always thought that my ability to read Tarot was strongly linked to the very tactile acts of holding the deck, shuffling and dealing the cards, feeling the unique energy associated with each different deck.

The success of the experiment may be due to the fact that I was able to upload my three favorite decks into the software: the Thoth deck, the Revelations Tarot and the Tarot of Dreams. It made me realize that it's not so much the act of holding the cards that is essential in my readings, but more the imagery on the cards of my most beloved decks.

Interestingly enough, I was also just as incapable of reading with the Rider-Waite deck on the software as I am IRL. This deck just doesn't speak to me at all and never has. :lol:


So, it looks like I'm going to keep using this program for my readings as an alternative to "real" Tarot cards. I keep putting "real" in quotes because to me the cards on the screen feel just as real to me as the ones I can actually touch. There's is the added bonus of not having to ever cleanse the virtual cards in the program, seeing as I never get to touch them and therefore can't pass on my own energy, positive or negative, to them. In that reagrd, I can trust that the virtual decks always keep a neutral vibe to them.
