I had a dream that my spouses long distance friend passed away. And I remember my bf standing infront of the coffin asking why he didnt want any flowers at the funeral.

It was trippy. I have never dreamt about a spouses friend dying before. Scary. Any meaning to why I would dream about this one friend I never see but have met once before along time ago 8O

Dreams about death are often not an omen of an actual death at all.

I am hesitant to view this as a prediction of a death, instead I wonder if maybe this person (or another friend of your bf's that you don't know well) might be going through a large life change (marriage, divorce, new job, moving).
OR, it could be an indication of changes (or transformations) in your life and/or relationships.

Whatever it means may it be made clear.

like Monster said, death usually means changes or transformations. on the other hand you could be stepping into clairvoyance and if thats the case, then its obvious this friend doesnt want flowers, i know i sure as hell dont! litter my grave with beer damnit!
