For the past week I've been having dreams of nothing but snakes. I love snakes but these snakes aren't so nice. All my dreams include people being killed by snakes. When I first started having them I woke up and sat up for a little while cause it disturbed me a little and when I went back to sleep I had another dream about snakes. Last night I dreamt about cobras which happen to be one of my fav snakes. I got bit by some really really small black and orange cobra and after I got bit no one could find it. And no one would get me help until almost an hour after and I was dying. And it skips from me gasping for air to another place. I have no idea where it was but there was a large albino cobra. No one got bit, it ate a pig and started coming towards me and I woke up. I cant figure out what these constant dreams mean.

I used to dream of snakes all the time, for months... after the fact I talked to a guy who pointed out that in native american tradition (among others) snakes are a symbol of death and rebirth (the shedding of the skin). You can see this symbolism in lots of mythologies. Looking at it in this context, I realized that I had been in a period of very dramatic change in my life (coming to the end of a withering relationship, totally changing the direction of my life, etc) at the time of the dreams... the snakes in my dreams were often frightening, as change and the unknown often are. If I had the dreams you described, I would look at what is changing in my life, and if/why it frightens me or puts me on edge... Our whole life is a repeating cycle of deaths and rebirths, and it's only natural to be afraid of it, on a conscious or subconscious level, but if you can isolate it and identify what it is that bothers you, it is easier to deal with it. I find that confronting the recurring frightening figures in my dreams can be very empowering. Once confronted, they can be embraced and much can be learned from them.
good luck

According to a friend of mine who deals with dreams, snakes are symbols, as another poster said, of rebirth and change.
Those are scary things, so its no wonder your dreams are scary.

This is exactly what happened to me. Two years ago, I was having horrible dreams where there were always snakes. Slinking and sneaking around.
Then it got so bad that I was actually seeing snakes in the nondream world. Just walking my dog, I would see snakes outside. And not just one, I would come across a bunch of them. Finally, I just said outloud to the Universe, I get it. I understand that you are giving me a warning but I can't see what it's for yet.
Not long after that I found out. It was brought to my attention someone was going behind my back and reading my private emails and private messages to people. It sucked and they are now out of my life. But I'm convinced that my dreams and encounters were a warning about it.
