Ok I am on the pill and this one seems pretty good, no cramps, light flow, cheap. But there is one symptom that is starting to bug me: the water retention! I swear it starts about 1-2 weeks before my period and gets really bad 3 days before and then usually about 2 days into the actual flow I go back to normal. By the end of the flow I feel great again.
I am not a salt-a-holic and I do try to drink more fluids but sometimes I just drink the normal amount I always drink. Is there an herb or other alternative remedies for this?
Help!

chew lemons or add lemon juice to most anything you drink.
Lemons are a natural diuretic

Rhianna813,
Go to the store and get you a bottle of vitamin B-6.
B-6 is excellent because it takes care of the bloating and water retention, and is definitely recommended for women on birth control. Just follow directions on the bottle. If taking it every day is to much, then try it every other day.
And if you don't take a multi-vitamin every day..you should probably think about starting; 'Cause I read that birth control can and does steal nutrients from the body. I could be wrong though..But, I take B-6 and it helps alot.

P.S. Vitex is good too.
