<rant>ARG!!! Today was a bad day!!! I went out job hunting (Be very very quiet, I'm hunting opertunity...) and at the first fudging stop I ran into an old class mate who apparently had forgotten that I have ears like a dog and thought that because she had her back to me and had been wispering that I wouldnt hear her badmouthing me to the manager!!! ARG!!! I didnt much like this girl in freshman year now I like her even less because she is a petty vindictive little peice of *bleep*... Ah well I will go back when she is up front and order twelve dozen burgers during the lunch rush then pay in pennies!

Then I went to a few book stores (cause I wanted to cool off before going back out) and got followed!!! I WAS FOLLOWED!!! The fudging store manager had thought that I needed to be seen at all times by one of the cashiers so instead of doing it the old fashioned way (security guard and a few dozen camras) she got up and FOLLOWED ME!!! I know I look different from everyone else and if I stay out in the sun or excert myself I look like a big scary native american but that *BLEEP* *BLEEEEEEEEP* didnt need to treat me as a sub human!

Then at an occult book store I had finished with my purchase and this a-hole gave me the 'evil eye'! I just bought 'the magic of saints' for fun (cause I hang out with catholics alot and have to blend...) and he was all upset about it or something, thinking that ppl dont need to buy those books or worse yet just didnt like me... 845t4rd... needs to go jump in a pit of fire ants...</rant>

I went to go play in a catholic store (were they are used to ppl of my ethnicity, religious affiliation/covers and dont follow us around that much) found a wonderful Guadalupe madalian (saved just for me as it had been marked with incense... She Likes me She really likes me!!! on the back is hecate hahaha...) some cards and was looking at some bby rosaries just for fun and got a great idea for a gay pride rosary... probably already done but I havents seen any yet! Then on my way back I found a Hawk feather! Guadalupe has always struck me as a Hawk Goddess... dont know why...

Mixed day, but Guadalupe is always kind enough during these...

be careful about the hawk feather, in the U.S. I believe it is
illega to own them or have them in your possession without a
permit.;)

I know that's true for bald eagle feathers, because the bald eagle is an endangered species in the United States. I don't know if that's true for other birds of prey. . . it would probably depend on whether or not they were endangered or threatened.

Does anyone else know about this, one way or the other?

hehe for a guy who doesn't care whether people think he's weird you tend to get ticked off about it :)

Maybe next time you should act really scary and scare ppl away when they stare; I think that'd be fun :)

I get ticked off when ppl treat me oddly because of my ethnicity I dont mind when ppl treat me differently after they get to know me, or even after we have a single discusion. They are two different things, one is bigotry and hatred the other is just common sense. Cant fault ppl for common sense, I can however crush those who dare treat me like sh*t because I happen to be darker than they are.

where do you live? Very few places in the U.S. have that much
bigotry when it comes to indians. Course, I live in indian territory
so...... But, from what I have seen of our country, I would rather
be a dark native american, than african american. This opinion is
based on the amount of prejudices I would face, not likes or
dislikes, since I am native american...and german, irish, suttler...

I live in central Ill... There is a tribe that is fighting to reclaim a huge chunk of it because of an invalid treaty and the rest of the population isnt taking it very well... and right after the illiniwick thing... There are fresh and old wounds that ppl dont want to let heal and wont even try to put to rest around here. Racism and 'flying' bricks are common...

bleh, sounds like a crappy place to live! And a small town, too. . . that girl still remembered you, eh? lol wonder why she was so upset. . . did you ever give her any reason?

mmn. . . I know here in Cali it's technically illegal to own feathers of preaditory birds, such as hawks and falcons. (I know this because a licenced Falconer told me about it. . . and pointedly looked the other way whilst hinting that I pick up the small feather that had fallen on the ground. . . :D that guy was so damn kewl hehe) But personally I figure. . . so long as you're not running around waving it in cop's faces, or you went and kaked the bird yourself, it's probably not going to be a problem. Besides, with so much native american heritage, you're probably exempt from that somehow, because of ceremonies and stuff. . . ne? ^^;

untrue Puma, Native Americans are not exempt from the old law
of the feather...heheh. Although, it is a little easier for them to
get permits for them for ceremonial and art purposes. Our game
rangers really crack down on that sorta stuff, hefty fines.

well mato, at least that day is over and a new one has begun...
hopefully this one better than the last... and hey, if not, then have fun with these people who torment you... confront them with your suspicions. You'll find there's no better way to change a persons point of view then to confront them directly with it.
Not mean, just ask them if they have a problem???

Hope today is better than yesterday... breathe! :)
